Ive found it helpful to change dynamics, I was big on dnd before my burnout and now I've switched to Sci-fi and it's helped a lot!

Have you thought of maybe doing mythology or history characters with a twist. Maybe you can put a spin on it and it would provide room for creativity as well as learning about amazing eras and cultures
