Hi everyone, with the on going growth of indie game development platforms and the phasing out of flash I find it's rather important to grow with the times. For those who don't know, the software I used is called adobe Flash and it is used to makes flash games (.swf files). by 2020 web pages will no longer support the .swf player that plays flash games and videos. You will still be able to play .swf files, but you will most likely have to use a .swf player separate from your browser and there will no longer be any more updates. SO that being said I've teamed up with our local programmer Louck, who offered to use unity with me. He's very helpful and easy to work with. A very cool guy who has offered to make a fun and simple game with me and my animations using Unity. Essentially this will be my first experience with this software and I have Louck to do the programming. We will be working together bit by bit to put this game together, without taking away important time from Loucks day job and my work with the current games I'm working on, (The Halloween Loop, Titan Train and Pipe Trapped). 

The working title right now is "Summer Dreaming", it's a game with light themes of surrealism, set on a beach where you play a game of 'chase n fuck' with a hot giggling blonde babe. The object of the game is to, you guessed it, catch the babe and have your way with her, watch out and dodge obstacles that come your way. 

For now the reward will be pov sex animations with the girl, coincidentally my first flash work was scrolling through pov sex scenes, looks like my first unity work will also have that.

I've always loved the idea of portraying desire and being able to play on primal urges. I'm adapting my art style to have more inspiration from classical animators like John K and Tex Avery, I'm also looking a lot at the styles of Playboy illustrator Dean Yeagle. 

I'm using textures in the background to give it a more cartoony feel, and I'm hoping to use this cartoon hound as the running character. Inspired by Wolfy from Tex Avery, I love the idea of presenting our primal animalistic urges as a little goofy and something to take lightly, as we are already playing an erotic game. The hound represents your animalistic desires and there will be a normal guys body parts in the actual sex scene. Yes this might be a little strange to some, so I hope to put a 'regular guy' skin for the running male character as an option.

Because this game is cartoon themed I'm doing a lot more frame by frame animation. 

These are some ideas for bizarre and surrealist themed enemies that will show up to stop you getting some. I've been looking into different surrealist paintings with themes of sexuality, nothing is concreted here yet, some might stay, change or disappear as these are just part of my development. from Top Left to Bottom Right: A flying angry nun head, because they don't want you touching yourself. a seagull with hook legs, it's just beach themed so right now I'm not crazy about this one. Dead Kitten Ghost, I love this one, taken from the expression every time you masturbate, god kills a kitten. Balanced Stones, common imagery in surrealist art. Phallic Fish eating Fish, I just like how bizzare it is. Crab Priest, going for your nuts I guess haha, this one needs work. The classic melting clock from Salvador Dali's works, nothing like "wasting time" jackn' it. Two Condoms, one a balloon the other with an angry fish in it... yeah, it's getting pretty late in the night here. Picketing mouths, just mouths yelling "Don't" I think this speaks a lot for itself ;)

Well, this is what we have so far and I hope you like the ideas and are ok with the level of weirdness. I promise nothing too strange in the sex scene.

Looks awesome, hopefully you incorporate some sort of unlock or skip to sex scene thing after people beat it. I hope you find Unity a good engine to work with.

I will try to add a save function, so after you beat the game, you don't need to redo it to get the sex scene (I'm not fan of passwords except for special unlocks).

Aw shucks, your to kind to say that. Thank you. I'm learning a lot transitioning as an animator who knows a little code for Flash to an animator for a real game programmer like Louck.

A good question Will! thank you for asking. with the need to transition to a more stable engine like unity I think Love Beat Rhythm, being a rhythm game would be much better suited for it. Working on it in Flash I've had trouble with the controls and timing of the game and music. Summer Dreaming seems to be a much more simple game so it'll be good to complete this one first and then move/use Love Beat Rythm assets to make it a proper game in Unity.

This looks very promising, and perhaps even the start of very fruitful collaboration to come. And love the classic animations vibe, the Who Framed Roger Rabbit flash game Jolly Roger is a personal favourite game, so more in a similar art style is fantastic.

Oh that's great to hear, thank you. I'm very excited about this game also. Jessica Rabbit has always been an old school favorite of mine, I'd love to do another flash of her.

so I know this wouldn't be the first thing or even the fifth thing you'd wanna focus on, but would there eventually be different difficulties and unlockable stuff like new things you can do if you collect a certain amount of something? I think collectable stuff might give it some replay value, ya know. I had a feeling you'd eventually do an actual game so I'm kinda excited about it.

I'll speak for myself, maybe Creambee has a different opinion: I don't want to crush dreams, but right now, we're working on a "mini-game". That means it will have few levels and a specific goal ("get the woman"). Our scope is small for few reasons: This is our first collaboration and Creambee needs to adapts his - amazing - work. We could see this as a first experience for everyone (even if I have already made few games before). We could add more content or secrets. But this is not our main priority. Maybe it'll be later, who knows ? Personally, my goal is to see if this collaboration work and if we can make a fun mini-game from NSFW content. I could make a real game, I know how to do it. However, unlike mini-games or interactive animations, a real game requires months - or years - of work. And we don't know if NSFW players are intereted in this ambitious project.

This is awesome! I actually found you because of the short game you uploaded on WPG. Great work! Really liked it. But I LOVE that you plan to make it part of larger games. Also love the whimsical ideas -- this ought to be a BLAST! Cant wait!
