I'm doing free character requests... no, really! (Patreon)

Hey everyone, I have an update, and it's something that I'd like to turn into a bigger part of the Patreon experience. I'm going to start by telling you one of my deepest, darkest secrets as an artist: I never practice. Ever.

But... I really should. I haven't, because I've been saddled with such a huge queue for so long, that instead of being a responsible artist and finding time to work on my fundamentals, I've just gone from one piece to the next. That changes starting today, and I figured I might as well make it fun for you guys!

I really need to work on my sketch fundamentals. Additionally, I would love to experiment with different varieties of linework, coloring, and even entirely different styles -- like being able to draw anime faces well. As a way to experiment and practice, I will frequently be drawing practice drawings, and I will let you guys request the characters that they turn into!

I need three characters to turn these bases into. Will you help me out by throwing out some characters in the comments?

The Future of Character Requests on Patreon

I would like to turn this into a regular feature of my Patreon. Although I don't have the details worked out yet, this will probably be a tier for Daiquiri subscribers and above, and I may work out some kind of system for who gets to have their requests honored. For today, I'm just going to choose my favorites out of the comments, but this could possibly turn into a first come/first serve situation, or some kind of other method that ensures that everyone has a fair shot.
