This isn't the first time this Tharja has appeared in the Archives -- you've seen her once with various goth outfit variants, and another time wearing nothing. But she hasn't been posted yet with this outfit, and I hope you'll enjoy seeing this banger on your feed.

ARTIST NOTES

This is a 2023 piece, so fairly recent, and one that I still very much enjoy. It's definitely still one of my favorites in my portfolio. I love drawing a character and feeling like I just nailed it, and I think I did here. This is Tharja at her purest essence.

While I'm known for the attention to detail that I put into my clothing rendering, sometimes it's more of a liability than a strength. Often, the absurd amount of time I put into rendering isn't justified by the end result. However, this is a piece where I strongly feel my rendering style works to the piece's benefit.

There's a certain weight and texture that can be felt in her outfit in this piece, and I think it adds a certain dimensionality to the piece that gives it a different vibe from typical fan art. There's nothing particularly interesting happening here -- just Tharja, in her default outfit, making a simple pose. There are thousands of fan arts like that, but I think the rendering here really makes this one pop and stand out as unique. I don't like to toot my own horn, but I'm very proud of this piece!

Additionally, it was fun playing with the variants here. I always wonder how different Tharja would look if you removed her bodysuit, and now we know ;) Enjoy the variants, and let me know which is your favorite!
