Jackary Archives Day 129 - Summer Dorothea (Patreon)

Today's Archives Post is Dorothea from Fire Emblem Three Houses! This is one of my better pieces from 2019, and she's already shown up once in the Archives wearing some lingerie. This is the other (and original) version of her!

Being an older artwork, I don't repost this one much these days, but you've probably seen it if you've been following me for a long time.

ARTIST NOTES

I have a lot of disdain for many of my older artworks, primarily from 2019 which I consider to be a fairly weak year, but I still like this piece quite a bit. There's nothing offensively bad about her face, and I think the shading turned out pretty neat despite not having learned some of the more "advanced" techniques I put to use regularly in future artworks.

I also quite like the swimsuit I designed here! I thought it was cute then, and I think it's cute now. It was SO cute, in fact, that Fire Emblem Heroes totally stole my design when they later made their own Summer Dorothea! I mean, look at the second picture. Then look at mine. Come on!

Aight, for the record, I don't actually believe that Heroes stole their swimsuit design from an obscure American twitter artist who had barely broken 10k followers at that time, but it's kind of a funny coincidence. But still, I demand compensation.
