Busy weekend for us!  My husband and I sat down for a bit and did a bunch of work on the main website. Well, he did a buncha coding, and I threw art and text at him to be posted.

But in case you haven't seen it yet, a new topbar graphic got put up, (I thought it was long past due to have one that actually, you know, featured the main characters a little bit), the Max character page finally launched, and I also updated Riley's small portrait for the character page to one that just sorta looks better overall.

Kevin also did a bunch of other code stuff.  I... don't fully understand it, but I don't want to just gloss over it either because it seemed like it was a lot of work and he deserves praise for that. I know there were some numbers involved. And probably also some maths. And something that used to take 18 seconds now only takes 130 milliseconds! So that's really neat!

Comic This Week? I'ma try. It's pretty far behind because of all the previous weekend work, but it's not a very complicated page either.

Playing: Idk, I'm all over the place lately. The game I want to play doesn't exist, (something that's kinda like Total War: Warhammer except more like Age of Wonders 3 except with furries and robots and sci-fi stuff but not like Age of Wonders Planetfall or 40k Gladius) so I keep playing any and every game that gets close, but then I get bored with them all very quickly and try some other game. Anyone else ever have this problem or am I just broken?

Maybe I should just find a new correct 400+ mod incantation for Rimworld and play that some more.

Ramble:

No brains only draw. But seriously, you guys. Thank you all for reading, and being awesome, and being you.

I dunno, I guess I could ramble a little. You guys ever wonder why all my sketches are on a gross baby-shit-green background? The answer isn't too complicated.

I'll never pretend to know what I'm doing or act like the whacky and weird things I do are tips that might help other artists, but personally I find staring at a glaring white background while drawing to be really painful, so I prefer drawing on a far more muted color backdrop. And if I'm going to pick a color, it might as well be one that is generally representative of a toxic, post-apocalyptic setting like Kuserra.

While the exact color of my sketch backgrounds probably never ends up being used in most of my finished, fully rendered images, it serves as a general example of the tone and shade and overall theme I'm going for.  It kinda tricks my brain into having some example background around which I'll build my color palette for the finished image.

I use a different, more bluer color for areas inside the Citadel, but it usually gets changed to that right before I'm ready to start coloring.
