I want to call special attention to that roof in the middle of this shot with the chair and the drying rack, because it took me way longer than it deserved for when it's ultimately just an invisible, blurry mess of pixels after being scaled down.  I've tried to include a number of things in this image to make Kuserra feel like a place that people live in.

This page is coming along nicely though and I am learning a LOT about how I can use my skills to get a little bit faster at drawing some halfway decent backgrounds.  I think it's occurred to me that speed in art is a lot about confidence.  Having the confidence that the lines will go where you want them to go without having to finagle and undo and repeatedly sketch in structure lines and the rest.  Working my ass off on this thing, I saved the characters until the end because I had the confidence that I could just kinda put them in whenever I wanted, and sure enough, they turned out pretty okay, despite being tiny and totally not the focus of this image.

I should be wrapping up this page by putting the finishing touches on the characters today and tomorrow, then I hope to jump right into Chapter 6 without further delay.
