Redtail Patreon Reward (Patreon)

So this week I announced that my higher tier patrons will have the ability to provide character concepts for a background character that will live in Kuserra and can sometimes appear in sketches or have cameos in the background. I realized as I was trying to work harder on making my backgrounds look... halfway decent... that there's going to be a lot of slots for background characters that can be really anyone, and I've been wanting to find more ways to thank my patrons for their support.

The first submission comes from our Redtail-tier patron, my dad. He's supported the comic from the very beginning and was the first to reach out and request a character when I made the announcement. He didn't specify a lot of details, just that he wanted a big gun, so there ya go!

This character, I imagine, stands guard at the edge of Redtail territory, protecting it from any incursions... and I think I have the perfect idea for when and how he will make an appearance in the comic.

As another bit of news, I probably will skip next week's comic post. As might be expected, due to the holidays I've made very little progress on this week's page and it's an important one, so I really don't want to try and rush through it. I knew the end of the year would start to get a little rough as far as schedule goes, but I'm still going to be working as hard as I can! I'd like to avoid skipping two weeks in a row.
