Something a bit different today... it's always interesting to me to hide different layers from finished art and see what comes out of it. This is an image of Kiva leaning against a wall... but... without the lines to hold it all together.

Some artists can pull off a lineless style, and I have a lot of respect for them. For me... if I had to give up something, I think I'd rather go colorless than lineless. Too much of my brain relies on having really dark, solid outlines around most distinct shapes, and it really shows in something like this. Since the lines are so important to how my art ultimately winds up looking, I've been spending a LOT more time making them cleaner and playing around with curves and weights and such.

In the future I might play around a bit more with adjusting line color, but I do enjoy a more cartoony, anime-like style for my furries.
