"It was time to move on from the law firm. I was excited to strike out on my own and start my own practice and have my own clients.

I knew there was a strong non-compete clause. I couldn’t take my current clients with me. I couldn’t go to a rival firm. But I clearly misunderstood the  employer contract, because I didn’t even think it was possible. But I learned how they were going to enforce the contract as my body started to shrink. My hair got longer and turned bright blue. My clothes started to change to enforce a punk rock girl look from head to toe.

I later found out that any clothing I put on shifting to maintain and edgy alternative look. I wasn’t able to dye my hair or remove any piercings. Impractical heels seemed to be practically required.

There was no way I could bring in corporate clients like this. I couldn’t even get in the door to even get an interview at another firm. I thought I was screwed. I wasn’t sure how I’d even get to continue to be a lawyer.

It took me a while, but I found a niche. Bikers.

I specialized myself in traffic and property law and made myself a frequent patron at many biker bars in the area. They loved me and trust me. I picked so many new clients and actually made a big difference with custody battles.

I know they could be a little scary looking. I had my preconceptions about them as well. But most of the bikers were big teddy bears. But then again, a lot of people think I’m a little scary looking as well.

When my one year non-compete time period expired, I chose to remain like this. I found I really liked the new body and my new life. "
