This morning I decided I wanted to keep track of what I've spent on this project so far. I thought because you contribute on a monetary level, you'd be interested. I'm sharing the cost breakdown with you just for the fun of it. But I will do it every year going forward as the project progresses. All figures in USD.

NOTE: This isn't a request to ask you for extra money. I'd rather bring new patreons into the fold. I'm sharing just to share and I need to keep track of this anyway.

Voyager Podcast Costs ($654)

  • Voyager Soundtrack 4 disc collection - $153
  • Deep Space Nine Soundtrack 4 disc collection - $83
  • Native language of America donation - $10
  • Masterclass Subscription - $180
  • Image art (in the chapter notes and available as a full res download) - $65
  • Podcast Cover art - $90
  • Scrivener Writing App - $50
  • Writing assitance (I pay someone to help me write) - $23
  • ProWritingAid cost - TBC

Voyager Video Costs for Test Scene 1 ($645)

  • Janeway art - $63
  • Harry art - $40
  • Seven art - $272
  • Ship VFX - $270

Total spent $1299

Income sources, I do some online work reviewing podcasts and each month I get $100, I put all the money earned into this project, so far that's $1400 for writing reviews on the Repod App. I also edit a friend's podcast and 1/4 of the money earned (starting next month) will go into this project.

I have two Patreons, the other one from my YouTube channel (P1) is also being used for this project (I have the cameras and mics that I need so why not?). Both patreons total (as of creating this patreon and diverting proceeds from the other one in Nov 2021) is $147 (P1) + $70 (P2) = $217

For a total incoming of $1617

I have $318 left to pay for the other characters for the first scene (Tuvok and Chakotay). Not including new incomings.

At a later date I will sell the soundtracks as they are limited edition, in order to raise further funding.

If I did a kickstarter to raise funds this might upset Paramount, and we wouldn't want to do that would we? :-p
