I like this episode because we see the Mikaelsons take an L... Davina is right when it comes to her hatred towards the family and specially Klaus, and she is also right when it comes to Marcel flip flopping from going against klaus and helping klaus; You think that Marcel is protecting Klaus out of love or some familial bond, but that's not really his main reason, he is saving Klaus because he has no choice because of the sire bond and has no choice but to help him, but he doesn't really like Klaus at the moment or in a while for that matter... And guess what, Davina fixed that, now he doesn't have to be forced to help Klaus against his will when Klaus does some fucked up shit and Marcel is mad at him... Davina has every reason to go against the Mikaelson and the reality is that Marcel is benefiting from what she did and so are the Mikaelsons now that she brought back to life Kol. In the subject of all of these enemies of the Mikaelson family going after them for some ancient reasons and not just simply letting it go, I don't really see how that would be that easy... The Mikaelsons do some really fucked up shit and I don't think is fair to expect anyone to quite simply drop it, so there is no consequences for their actions? They can do what they want and there is no push back? I don't think it works inside and outside of the story... Also one of the main reasons why people hold this ancient resentments and go after them after so long is because they usually don't have a choice, for far too long they've been pretty much un killable, everyone who hates the Mikaelsons is buying their time for an opening to hurt them or spend years looking for the means to do so... The things that they have done are not so little that it would be fair to tell them to just drop it, I know that the mikaelsons are our main characters and we happen to be on their side but the reality is that in most situations, like with Davina and others, they are the bad guys, they did shit... Stealing 100 years of someone life it's not a small thing, killing someone's entire family and loved ones it's not a small thing, terrorizing or controlling people for centuries it's not a small thing... I don't think it's as simple as: "it was a while ago, let it go"; or for example telling someone like Davina, this also happened with Tyler, that since you don't have the means to kill Klaus you should quite simply let it go and forget about everything he does and continues to do... They are right to find the means and the opportunities to hurt them back, specially since the Mikaelsons don't really change, they continue to do this types of stuff and getting even more enemies.
