I love that last scene with Elijah and Hayley, her line "loving any of us is a death sentence" is one of my fave lines from the show.

You may have already figured this out by now, but i'm pretty sure the main thing that Elijah fears of anyone finding out is what he keeps in the red door. She was able to see that. That's why he felt he needed to kill her.

I don't think that's correct... She saw pretty much everything inside his mind, history, strategies, who the family is, ect... He killed her because she had too much information, the MAIN piece of information he killed for having is actually the visions of the weapon that can kill the Mikaelsons... Remember that she cough a glimpse of it and from her visions the weapon came to light, that's what Elijah was trying to bury by killing her. Most of Elijah's "red door" secrets are already out, certainly the ones that have to do with his family and can harm their relationship
