I agree the part that I blame Lily for is that she didn't do anything about the father after she turned. I get that she was scared to hurt her kids when she felt the hunger while seeing Stefan after she turned, but she didn't have to take them with her she could have killed or compelled the father or something like that, so her kids wouldn't suffer more. Since we now know for sure that Caroline is pregnant with Alaric and Jo's kids, I just wanted to quickly mention the behind the scenes fact (maybe you know already) that the actress of Caroline was actually pregnant at this point which was one of the reasons for this decision. Also yes it definitely is an invasion of Carolines privacy but it's the gemini coven, expecations shouldn't be very high with what they do...
