I think this is a good point to take a small break from these shows. You are probably continue to watch TO s3 and TVD s7 side by side, but just as a heads up for after that: when you finish s3 and s7, you should finish TVD s8 before starting s4, since s4 came out after s8 ended and therefore there could be spoilers in s4. (You might already know this, but I wanted to give you a heads up too. Also you still have s3 and s7 before that, but in case you will watch more at once, I thought it would be better to already tell you).
