The thing that I love most about this show when it comes to the progressiveness of certain characters and narratives is that there’s not a whole lot of exhibition or wasted time beating you over the head with certain things. For example how all of the leaders and best warriors in this show tend to be women. Octavia, Indra, Clarke, Lexa, Abby. Same with Clarke and her attraction to women. Her being bisexual isn’t a topic of conversation. It just IS. Subtle things like her saying she’s not ready yet indicates that she is into girls as well. So I appreciate little details like that. PS: Bellamy is so clutch. I love his character.

While they do well with their subtlety on that particular issue they are less subtle with others which is one thing I dislike about this show. Like Victor is saying I wish they'd stop talking about the missle thing it's like they are beating the audience over the head with the right vs wrong, good guys vs bad guys blah blah blah. They do it every episode and it's painful. I chalk that up to this being a CW show where the target demographic needs to be hit over the head with ideas but it's talking down to those of us that aren't brain dead. I love Indra, she is one of my favorites and I like what she said to Octavia. The fact is that you don't get to play at war. It's WAR. I personally think war is utterly ridiculous in pretty much all circumstances but this is where the show is and in how many years of evolution humans still keep killing each other so... here we are and they did what they had to do. You don't like it go home and knit.
