Enzo is a pain in the ass this season, I really liked him on S5 but here he’s too much. And everyone love Kai but I think they overpower him and put him on a pedestal too much. Delena moments are one of the best things this season for sure ❤️❤️ they made Bonnie dirty and Caroline haven’t been much on, instead they have Jeremy and Matt being useless 🤦🏻‍♀️

This season is my favorite for a couple of reasons, Bamon friendship, Delena this season are amazing, and Steroline is cute. Also, Jo and Ric are adorable.

I get pissed on Ric here I get it it’s wrong that Damon compelled him but can’t he see this is to get Bonnie back infact he should have got ready instantly to get her back last episode when Damon mentioned about the ascendant and specially since Bonnie was alone with Kai in the prison world at that time and they know how dangerous that’s for her specially since she has no magic there right now Damon is the only one taking so much of efforts to get her back and instead everyone else just misunderstands him it’s just so frustrating urghh Bonnie has suffered so much for all of them even Tyler and he got Liv out and broke the spell I mean come on is anyone bothered about getting Bonnie back or only thinking of themselves? The last scene with Bonnie just breaks me into a million pieces and that’s what Damon was saying she sacrificed herself each and everytime for us and she’s all alone over there :(((

I love Kai as a villain he’s a great character and Chris wood is an amazing actor but I agree with Victor here they can actually kill him but I can see his character has a lot of potential so killing him so easy and early on would be stupid. Delena this season are so adorable and I love Bonnie and Damon’s friendship so so much I love how as soon as Bonnie called he thought it’s Kai and he said if you hurt one hair on that annoying witches head il kill you and Bonnie was so happy hearing that Bamon is definitely one of the reasons why I lovee this season the most.

The Enzo and Matt story in this season is the only one that I don't like, it's better to just ignore though. What is interesting to me about the Enzo situation though is that even though he annoyed me quite a lot, he is one of very very few characters in any show that I still loved regardless of that. To behonest I didn't care much for the Sarah situation, so from that point of view I wasn't that bothered by Enzo killing her. What I always think about watching this episode is, if they would have waited one more day to get the ascendent, Jo would have given it to them out of free will, because she would have known Kai is out anyways. So the whole Ric being mad about getting compelled thing would have been avoided. Of course they couldn't know, but I think about this every time. I hate that Bonnie is the one suffering again. But at the same time it does for a good storyline with some great scenes.

They could have worked together for example. Like if a couple of them would have stayed with the ascendant in the real world and Kai would have come out through that (which he didn't but in case he would have from their point of view), they could have instantly killed him before he can even realise. That definitely would have been the better option than to say "no you're not getting the ascendant". I honestly just thought of this now, but if they would have thought about options they could have come up with that idea. But afterall that wouldn't make for as goof of a storyline.

I totally agree with all these points. Also usually the TVD protagonists are the ones benefiting from plot armor, this time it's Kai. XD

i just watched the interviews the cast did with entertainment weekly this summer it's so good! they did a recap of each seasons with julie plec + actors of the show (nina, paul, ian, candice, claire...) i recommend it to anyone watching vampire diaries, it was so nostalgic and interesting to go back to every season with different cast members perspective (it's on youtube, there's 8 episodes one for each season and different cast members for each season)

as for now, i only cared about the damon/bonnie/kai being stuck in the "prison", the gemini coven story, i enjoyed the caroline/enzo gettaway and caroline sticking up for herself against stefan! i really don't care about the delena drama, matt getting annoyed with vampires, alaric/damon fighting, jeremy in general... as for enzo, i guess his "thing" is being jealous and annoyed at stefan? maybe bc he did horrible things but caroline likes him, damon forgive him all the time and he has friends... enzo maybe wished he was treated that way? idk, i always thought he had a crush on caroline and wanted to be brothers with damon but stefan is winning in those two categories ahaha! i honestly don't mind him, i think he's funny and i'm sick of so many of the "main characters" that even enzo is fine to me

matt's character would be fine if this was real life and not a tv show! of course i would be on his side if vampires (??) were killing innocent people for 6 years straight in my city and i would have dropped my killer friends long time ago lol! but we're in a tv show that established in season 1 that it was so fun to be vampires and feeding on people, that we should all love damon right from the start even if he was abusing a 17 YEARS OLD, we should root for delena even if his brother was still dating her, and being a vampire is way better than being human, we should hate enzo and forgive damon for abandoning him, we're okay with rebekah being abused by her brothers and it's totally fine that stefan (who is +100 years old) came back to school to date a teenage girl that was looking like his ex??? the show is portayed for us to love vampires, to love abusing men and women, to love violence, to hate ripper stefan but love damon? to hate kai but love klaus? to hate katherine but love elena?... so yeah, matt is annoying and i can't stand him in this show but i would totally be on his side if it wasn't for the sake of a tv show's script lol
