(24:00) Not 100% sure if it was what Victor meant, but Dumbledore once said "After all to the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure" I feel like we kinda got rid of 2 demonstrations in this episode: - in the case of Jesse we were demonstrated that Wes is able to make vampires crave vampires, which I think is supposed to make him seem more powerful or dangerous. - in the case of Matt and his passenger I think we were supposed to get a better picture of what exactly the travellers are. So I think both of these stories seem like opening up possibilities now that the Silas/Amara/Tessa storyline seems to have come to an end. I liked Jesse as well though, but I also agree that all of them would have tried to save there loved ones. And Damon wasn't able to stop Jesse, Elena is an even weaker vampire so I don't think in that moment she saw a different option.
