I love both of your reactions.! Loved this episode! I see how you are conflicted with Damon hooking up with Rebecca; however, Elena and Damon are not together and I feel this is how Damon tries to lash out at Elena for what she said., as he knows that Rebecca tried to kill Elena. I honestly feel like the tryst with Cole was that he was trying to save Matt because he has found his human side to some extent and knows how much Matt means to Elena. Letting Matt die would honestly be unforgivable and Damon knows that and he actually cares at this point and he tried to do the right thing.

That look with Damon wasn't "haha" it was "Exactly. Thank you for confirming what I already know. All you asshats always assume the WORST of me no matter what I do." He just SAVED Matt but look at all condemnation on all their faces. They never give him the benefit of the doubt and Damon doesn't feel like he should have to explain himself and therefore he just doesn't and walks away. Damon is letting them believe whatever they want, cause they will anyways. Sleeping with Rebecca is Damon being self destructive and lashing out at Elena lol attacking Kol wasn't.

Great job. Victor, you can compel dopplegangers, because they are still human tho supernatural and werewolves can be compelled by Original. Klaus is taken by Caroline. Her beauty and how she is not afraid to tell Klaus and finds her a challenge. I am a shipper of Klaus and Caroline...great chemistry. It's going to get crazy...

Okay so as far as the show having like one direction this season or one thing to focus on. They are. They have been. You just haven't put all the pieces together yet. I tell people this all the time about TVD: Trust the writing. Usually with this show if you are thinking things don't make sense or lack focus or are contrived it usually means YOU missed something or they just haven't given you all the pieces of the puzzle yet. You guys need a few more pieces and then I'll do one of my connect the dots posts.

Lol I feel like Stefan is owed a little more slack. The only reason Stefan is now an asshole is because Klaus compelled him to turn off his humanity. It wasn’t his fault. Though he cared enough to save Damon’s life and then turned that into rage/revenge against Klaus doesn’t mean his switch is back on completely. It’s more of a dimmer switch at this point lol which is why he says “if I let myself care again all I feel is pain”

Season 3 has a direction, but is much less apparent then the previous seasons. They are giving you little random pieces of the puzzle so it is difficult to see the bigger picture. But trust me is there.

The problem with Damon is that his bad boy reputation follows him like a curse. From when he was young, and no matter what he did to please his father he was still consider a disappointment. Reputation does a number on you. He grow up thinking he isn't deserving and made him deeply cynical about trusting people to get him, to understand him. That’s Damon, he lower the expectation people have from him so he doesn’t have to feel disappointed, hurt and mistreated. He gets lectured by his brother for caring too much, pours his feeling to Elena and she tells him that his love is a problem, he saves Matt and people give him judgment in return like he’s gone mad. So that look at the end is really “you know what? f**k you all”. And of course his answer is revenge sex with Rebecca. Can anybody blame him? No, hybrids can be compelled by Originals because they are part vampire, but werewolfs after they trigger there curse can't be compelled !

Caroline and Klaus Yess 😻they have such amazing chemistry. Their scenes were the best for me this episode. I think you guys missed this- when Caroline told klaus she was Miss Mystic he said “I know” that was so romantic and with them looking at each other damm my favourite moment. The horse scene was beautiful we could see a vulnerability to Klaus and I loved that he opened up to Caroline. That drawing he drew for her is one of my favs...

Ok now going back to the episode lol I was very upset the way both Stefan and Elena treated Damon he was just trying to protect her make sure she’s safe and what does he get in return being told he’s a liability, that he cares too much. That’s just not fair. Elena was quite rude to him for no reason. I don’t blame Damon at all for what he did first of all he saved Matt and him making out with Rebekah isn’t wrong to me. Yes he wants to get back at Elena and he’s being self destructive but They aren’t dating as well we should just be happy he didn’t kill anyone lol. I love the Originals something about the way they stood on those stairs today they looked ravishing and probably the writers at this time must have thought to themselves we need to have a spin off with them their stories need more depth. I hate that Bonnie isn’t part of dances like these she’s just there mostly to help ppl out why can she not have a strong love interest like Elena and Caroline or say be close to one of the brothers ? 🤷🏽‍♀️ Always frustrates me. Anyways with the story just hold on guys everything’s happening for a reason u will see it soon. It will all make sense. You guys are in for a crazy ride -for me this season finale is just wayy tooo good....

By the way liaison mean comunications, relation. "Dangerous Liaisons" is the title of a very famous film with John Malkovich, Glen Close and Michelle Pfeifeer, Uma Thurman, Keanu Rives. It is where everybody learnt the word Liaison meanning and started to use it. 😁

I think the biggest things to note about Damon’s mental state are that well yes he didn’t kill someone but that’s a low bar. To be clear he owes Elena nothing, they are NOT together. However he did sleep with Rebecca as a means of lashing out. This reminds us of two things. The first is that Damon is still Damon. Second he is NOT ready to be in any sort of real relationship with Elena. Relationships are hard. You will have arguments and disagreements. The bad comes with the good and due to his history he has a lot to prove to be with someone like Elena who as a human has zero way to fully understand what it really means to be a vampire and how that affects or plays into Damon’s emotional responses. I mean if Damon and Elena have an argument watching LOST over who has to listen to Jack or not, he can’t go EAT the townspeople. If he wants to be with her he needs to get to that place on his own first. As for Elena if she ever wants to be with Damon she will also have to take the bad with the good and she has to know he is gonna have backslides so is she willing to deal with that or not.
