This episode is fab and explain why Klaus wanted Stefan with him. Caroline poor thing, she got tortured by her dad, it is an allegory for gay converion camp thing, we all made that connection. Thanks god her mom came around and not only saved her but took care of her. I love that Damon brought Elena a pretty dress so she could met his brother and he offered himself to Klaus instead of Stefan. How many times Damon does selfless things, and by never braging about it, nobody notice them and nobody gives him credit for what he does. Elena is in denial, not even the list of names on the wall like serial killers style, made her shake. She had to face Stefan to start to get a bit of reality. Stefan at this stage is still trying to keep her as far as possible from Klaus, to protect her. But how long will it take Klaus to find out what is really going on?

I want to say that the writers truly outdid themselves. The way they got rid of the necklace (Katherine stole it off Elena) and tossed it in Alaric's loft. Before Klaus got there so he never saw it to realize it was Rebecca's. Then the whole Klaus and Stefan storyline. I know a lot of people watching last season said it felt contrived that Klaus wouldn't just kill Stefan instead of Jenna (as it would have been the best way to punish both DAMON and ELENA) The fact that Klaus saw Stefan as a friend makes Klaus's actions so much more understandable. Klaus killed Elena because it was necessary (in his mind) as she is the only doppleganger but he didn't kill Damon and even saved him when Stefan asked. There would be zero reason for Klaus to not just slaughter Stefan and Damon... except this he was Klaus's like only true friend. I always feel really bad for Elena watching the scene where Stefan breaks up with her. No matter his reasoning he DOES mean it. Okay I admit to wanting to see anyone who hurts Caroline to suffer a slow and painful death.

For the record Stefan and Klaus clearly were together for quite a while it wasn't just one night. Klaus knows where Stefan lives, they showed a couple nights of events. I think they just mostly showed the last night they were together because it was relevant to the bigger story.

Queen Rebekah is finally here. Love her. This is one of my favourite episodes of this season. The flashbacks were so good. Klaus does seem to really like Stefan. Stelena breakup was so sad yes he wants to protect her but as he said he’s high on human blood and has killed many so for him to come back will be difficult and can take years. Btw another Delena road trip Elena as we can see is getting more and more comfortable with Damon. I love watching ripper Stefan Paul is such an amazing actor...

Yea it’s definitely weird Klaus didn’t smell or hear Her heart beat. I don’t think he needed to focus on her when he was standing so close to the pantry door.
