Katherine is Damon first love and she was a vampire that to his human eyes was something special and super exciting, she was a very free woman for that time, compare to other women at that time that must have look very booring, she was also difficult to get, to tame and everything suggested she was quite something in bed. You know the actraction to bad boys, well here is the actraction to bad girls.....So, all of those things are difficult to shake off, even if now Damon's love for her is clearly not anymore what it used to be. Still, nor Stefan or Damon or any other men Katherine came across with, can't find in themself enogh hate to kill her, some of the love they had for her is still there. She has some power there.

Futuristic Girl

It would be dumb to dismiss Katherine's insight because they're trying to kill an enemy they've never seen before. She's older, stronger, and knows more. They don't even know what he looks like and he's ten times older than them. The only leverage they had was Elijah and they killed him, which they could've found another way. Without him or someone else with that much knowledge, their chances of actually killing Klaus are low. They all have motive to kill Klaus most of all her. They can hate Katherine all they want, but as they are now, they don't stand a chance against Klaus. They need serious help.

Futuristic Girl

Katherine should've checked to see if either Damon or Stefan died by daggering Elijah, killed John, and then dipped. If I was her, I wouldn't trust that the Salvatores would trust that I would help them or that they had a chance at killing Klaus. The risk seems too high. They aren't going to trust her anyway even though they really don't have many options or a good enough plan. No point in even trying tbh.

Futuristic Girl

Tbh, Stefan and Damon are letting emotions cloud get in the way of coming up with a good plan that will actually work. Katherine helping them kill Klaus helps her and gives her the freedom she's been trying to attain for 500 years. The main reason she went after Elena was to use her to negotiate her freedom. Killing Klaus gurantees her that, which is what she actually wants. The whole reason for all the plotting she did was to get her freedom. An enemy of my enemy is my friend. It's not about what happened in the past or how you feel. They're supposed to be executing a plan to kill Klaus. They don't even have full proof plan, and Katherine is really good at scheming. I feel like you would want someone that smart on your side. They should better use to her to their advantage. Make her help them which in return helps them accomplish their goal, and she has what she wants. At the end of the day, Katherine's gonna choose which ever side most benefits her. That's just common sense. If they don't want them problems, then come up with an actual plan.

If I were Damon and Stefan I wouldn't include her because for every one piece of intel Katherine gives them, she takes five from them.
