Thank you Victor for understanding Damon in that situation. Yes, that was fucked up and totally totally not acceptable but he is a vampire their emotions are heightened and Damon can’t handle grief rejection most of them can’t that’s how is character is. I understand where Grace is coming from when I first watched this I hated Damon at that moment but as I seen more of the series and in my second/ third viewing of it I understood his character more and more. That’s why his character is so complicated. This for me is one of the most extreme and reckless things that Damon has done I’m sure You guys won’t like him much as of now :D but that’s totally understandable. I personally started to like Damon from Episode 7 of this season. Its an on/ off thing with his character at times which is what makes him super interesting for me. Anyways can’t wait for more- season 2 is so much better then S1!!

I honestly like damon..but I would never say he is a good person...he terrible and impulsive, I completely agree with grace here...I just like damon because he more complex and interesting character than most characters on show..but he is definitely one of the worst people on the show lol...,........can't wait for you guys to reach ep 8 ....that for me is where the REAL vampire diaries actually starts

Running Commentary I love how they introduced Katherine. It was genius. This is writing at it's best where they give the viewer every opportunity to figure it out before the 'reveal'. Minor nitpick: It makes no sense that John wouldn't have told Elena that it was Katherine. Then it makes no sense that the moment Damon realized what was going on that he didn't call Stefan immediately. Then when Elena comes homes she act surprised when Damon says "Katherine happened" Why wouldn't he have told her in the car ride from the hospital to her house? Moving on... I love that Damon is sincerely Liz's friend. Yes Katherine could have overpowered Stefan, she was enjoying letting him win. I loved that they were chastising us idiots who thought she was the one kissing Damon when she says “He kissed Katherine, I wouldn’t do that” That was just as much for the viewer as it was for Damon. Stefan is SO much better in this season. I was thrilled when he threatened John. Nina Dobrev is utterly amazing playing Katherine. I hate the devastation in Damon’s face when Katherine said she never loved him. I nearly died of a heart attack when Damon snapped Jeremy’s neck. The look on Damon’s face when he throws his glass in the fireplace…pure self-loathing. Vampire Caroline!! On Damon... I refuse to defend him on the dumb/terrible shit he does. I feel like if you are a Damon fan you have to be able to recognize that you just can’t/shouldn’t try to justify his actions. Admit he’s a dick and if you like him, like I do, you take the good with the bad.

i didnt like bonnie at first but now that i think on it he got her gma dead but he also tried to kill her so she has no reason to trust him yet

Yes absolutely I don’t think my comment meant to defend him or his actions at all. I just liked what Victor said and I agreed with that he understood why he did that and cz of his vampire nature but obviously what he did isn’t acceptable and very very wrong and many things which Damon does is horrible and no1 should even try to justify it.

I've liked Damon since Episode 1..like them bad boys..lol. Damon is in love with Elena and she has an attraction to Damon she won't admit. I mean hi is super hot! This is a great series.
