I hate that I can't figure out how to format here! - Remember that Vanya went off the medication she'd been on for her entire life. Not only would she have had her brain chemistry messed up by going cold turkey, but the withdrawal would have caused mood swings & all sorts of reactions. - Also, since she was put on it as a four year old, she never learned how to identify her feelings and develop acceptable coping mechanisms that most do as they grow up. - Now that she's off the meds, she suddenly flooded with the full force of emotions she's never had to deal with before. That's why all her reactions seemed like overreactions. It explains how she could 'fall in love' in such a short time, she had no prior comparison to the feelings of being cared for, encouraged, stood up for & all the ways Leonard manipulated her. - And as each perceived betrayal was exposed, she was being swung from hurt to rage to guilt without the experience to understand. - Pogo may not have deserved to die, but he was an enabler of an abuser. She had always believed that at least he cared for her, he wanted the best for her. To learn that not only did he lie to her throughout her childhood, then keep Hargreeves' secret even after she left the academy...but he continued even after Hargreeves was dead and couldn't prevent or punish Pogo for his telling Vanya the truth. - The torment of her childhood & the damage to her self-esteem was severe...and Pogo was an accomplice in it all. - Ellen Page played that seen so well, you can see the deep betrayal, the devastating pain, as Vanya came to realize that the one person she thought truly cared for her had contributed to the decades of abuse. By the time Vanya killed Pogo, she had suffered a psychotic break...she saw & heard her younger self as a separate entity. She had had a disassociative lapse in the bathtub with Leonard. ---- well, that's a loooong ramble.

There aren't formatting options here you can press shift and enter at the same time twice to get a space in between paragraphs. OR do what I do. Open a notepad of some sort, write the comment there then copy and paste it here. This helps the formatting AND if Patreon randomly disappears your comments you don't have to rewrite them all over again you can just cut/paste from notepad.
