tl;dr - So much stuff. LMO v0.1.0 is out for $10 patrons (although I've got no transcripts yet), I've been working on LMO, plus PAO pics, plus my guest scene I'm writing in ESAH.

NOTE: I delayed this update by one day just to give Let Me Out's first patron release sit at the top of the page a little longer. We'll be back on the normal schedule after this.

This week's image

So this week I wanted to show you something from LMO but I didn't want to give too much away. This is a nice little set I got just for this scene (I might wind up putting more than one moment here, I've already got more than one picture in the scene). I know it's a little dark, but that's obviously necessary for the glowing flowers to work. You will also get to see this place in the sun, and you'll get to see the characters up close too, of course.

So this is from one of the endings that aren't in the game yet. This particular isn't even one of the early priorities just because it's a slightly more complicated path, but it'll be in there soon enough. I won't tell you how to get there!

Released the first version of Let Me Out!

Since I put out a public update about it I'm sure you saw that I released the first version of LMO! And you may also be aware that it's currently pretty bare bones. Don't worry, updates will be coming as I get transcripts to tell me what commands are needed, and as I write up the endings and such. I am planning for there to be an update, at the very least, in April.

This leads me to my next point, however...

I haven't received ANY transcripts from you guys!

Guys. Seriously. I need your transcripts. When you play Let Me Out just start up a transcript (there's instructions at the beginning of the game) then send the text file to: bbben.aif@gmail.com

You might say, "But I didn't achieve anything! Everything I typed just got error messages. Why would you want to see that?" Well, that is exactly why I need to see it! I need to know what you're trying to type so I can write up responses. I'm not a mind reader, this only works if I get player feedback! I don't like to ask anything beyond support from you guys, but I haven't released the game widely because it's an exclusive right now, so you're the only ones who've tried it.

I have responses from EFon and Archer Fifteen, both authors who agreed to give it a look, but otherwise I have nothing. Their work will keep me going for a little while, but not long.

Working on Let Me Out

As you would expect this week I've been working on Let Me Out, and in particular on adding new responses whenever I get a little time for that. It's a little bit more work doing that than it was last time (for LMI) because... well, if you don't know yet why that is I don't want to spoil it. Generally speaking I will say that this game is subtly more complex than the last one and that's the main reason why.

But anyway, it's still not too hard, but I just don't completely know what you're going to want to type. That's why it's so important to get those transcripts, so I can program in responses!

Pervert Action: Origins pics

As I've mentioned before I'm helping out EFon by making him some character designs for his CYOA game Pervert Action: Origins. I've created some more of these recently; I don't know whether I'm totally happy with them yet but I'll show some stuff when the project (my end of it, I mean) starts getting more complete. I've had to acquire some new 3D assets for that, but that's okay, it at least builds my library somewhat.

If you'd like to see some of these designs then let me know in the comments below. I can show them off at some point if you'd enjoy that. They're made in my usual visual style, albeit without backgrounds to allow EFon to use them a little more like you'd see in a visual novel. I've already shown a version of the older woman in the story, but I have a few more characters developed now.

Emily Sister Attraction Homecoming airplane scene

I'd be lying if I didn't say this has taken up a chunk of my work time. I know some of you are backers of Love-Joint as well, so when you get the chance to play the airplane scene that will be released to their patrons soon you'll see what I've (additionally) been working on recently.

If you want to picture what this scene is like, I'm making it kind of like a self-contained mini-game within ESAH, which will just be my chance to take you on a fun little spin for a while. It'll be like when they get a special guest director on a TV series and he puts his own style on things.

I have more to say too, but I can't say much right now. Things have been a little crazy lately, but it will all possibly turn out well for the future.

Got comments or questions? Please drop them down below! I do love to stay in communication with you guys!

Do you have any statistics on the amount of downloads this v1.0 of LMO got? If there's a lot of downloads and none have given feedback that's not good :/ In any case, once there is a 1$ patrons release I'll give you all the feedback I possibly could :) Thanks for the update Ben!

I would like to see some of the design of PAO, I will like to see your work on Emily Homecoming, I try to support the authors of adrift game that I have liked before Patreon (like you, Palmer and Palaverous) for the little I can, probably I'm the first person said to Palmer to create a page like you (but I'm sure she will have done in any case). Mini game scene, maybe a dream scene (there was one also in ESA).

BBBen

The ESAH scene, without spoilers, isn't a dream. It takes place on an international flight. I might see about adding some PAO pics to the Patreon, too.

I don't think so, no. I guess it's possible that hardly anyone has downloaded anything, but that's not particularly good news either. :) Thanks, I'd appreciate your transcript when you get the chance to play. I think it's also partially my fault, I forgot to put a reminder after the ending to send the transcript. There are instructions at the beginning for what to do, but no reminder at the end. That will change for the next version.
