This is a bonus sex response from the Masami sex scene that I created as part of the 0.14.0 update. I kind of have my concerns that most players aren't even going to see this scene as I don't know if many people are really experimenting to find the 'bonus' sex responses available in every scene. Some people even get stuck in the Rio sex scene because you're expected to type 'Rio suck cock'. I would have thought that one was pretty much a given...

Anyway, that just means I can show off the picture here in this update and point out that you should try doing unexpected, more contextual things throughout the sex scenes (and the game in general). There may be rewards for it!

Why this update is early

I'll start out right away by saying I planned to have alpha 0.14.0 out today. This is why I don't set public deadlines most of the time - I work hard to meet my personal deadlines but they tend to turn out to be unachievable. A couple of days ago I actually uploaded v0.14.0 and was about to post it, but I decided I really should do a bit of testing first and... well... I found a lot of problems. Plus, testing just takes a really, really long time now. 

Long story short, I am hoping to release the game tomorrow (if not, then I guess it'll be the day after) which is why I'm putting out this update early. I don't want to clutter your inboxes tomorrow because after I release the next alpha I'll put out a public update.

What's in v0.14.0?

I added a new feature to combat for the harem mode - ROCKET LAUNCHERS!!!!! This was a nice combination of ideas; I wanted you to have the ability to fast forward combat once you get to the harem mode, plus I wanted to depict the girls packing an old-fashioned RPG-7. Now you can buy them for 500 gil from Hiroshi (but only in harem mode) and if you use one it will immediately win the battle.

In testing I've been finding that the side puzzles are a little too hard, so I've decided to make a number of them easier. Now it should not be so hard to gain collector cards, although it will still take some thoroughness and thought.

I've talked previously about how this update won't include the harem ending or the victory suite and I'll probably mention it again, but there is quite a lot of new content in it. I think, however, that it may actually not seem all that different to 0.13.1 because the new content is spread out across an already pretty big game. You'll just get a few new responses and/or pictures here and there, and some of these are relatively obscure. The most obvious will be if you play harem mode it will be worthwhile to pick up the Orb of Ecstasy and actually use it in the sex scenes, now.

Honestly, I'd really like to have some big, impressive new thing to show off to you but these last few weeks have involved a lot of hard work on stuff that might not get me a whole lot of glory but are, ultimately, necessary.

Work on v0.15.0

Meanwhile, I haven't actually stopped working on the harem ending and victory suite. Right now these are the parts of the game that need the most illustration work. I'm really happy with how those pictures are turning out - my investments in new 3D assets have really been paying off and I've got some fantastic renders that really capture the scenes as I pictured them in my head.

The pain is that with high-quality assets and complicated scenes I often wind up with really long rendering times. Like, a couple of hours of time that my computer just chugs away and creates the image while eating up most of my RAM and video card. Maybe next year I'll have to look into some kind of computer hardware upgrade just to cut these rendering times down. There are newer nVidia cards available since I bought this machine, after all.
