Update - Nobuko rides, Shizu watches (Patreon)

tl;dr - I'm currently working on the Nobuko/Shizu threesome, I launched the PAL comic and the good news on the "now loading" bug means I might be able to keep going with PAT in the longer term.

Pivot to Nobuko/Shizu threesome

I've been talking about the Emi/Nobuko threesome as my next objective recently, I know, but this week I found myself switching over to working on the Nobuko/Shizu pairing instead, just because I had the dates more well planned out and so I wanted to create the structure for the system with something that I'd be ready to implement right away.

I think all the pairings are interesting, mind you, so it's no loss, but my method tends to involve moving the ball forward on all sorts of fronts all the time and eventually one of the features or scenes gets close enough to finished that I can draw it all together fairly quickly.

I might actually be able to finish the whole three-scene story for this combination for the upcoming update. I don't know about the voice acting; I'll have to see with that but it might be possible as I do have some lines for Nobuko already. If I can't get it all together then I can at least get a decent amount of content ready, and I'd like to do a nice big update around now.

The PAL comic is launched!

As you probably saw I launched the new comic series I'm making based on PAL. I've been quite happy so far with how it's going; I think the pictures are turning out nicely and it's fun to make. I should have plenty of content to work with, too, as I adapt a lot of different material that I made in the past just for fun.

The first four pages were mostly just to establish the mystery, but the following posts will start to get saucy very quickly...

"Now loading" bug update and future plans

I've been getting more feedback on the solution to the "now loading" freeze bug solution and it seems to be working, which is a pretty big deal for the game's development. Having that kind of bug, which made the game randomly unplayable for people, was kind of crippling for any intention of mine to keep expanding the scope of the project in the future.

Put simply, I did have plans to add a couple more characters, which I have vaguely teased before, but I didn't want to commit to doing that because the bug was so bad that I felt I might have to wrap up the game a bit earlier and move on to something else. If the damn thing is playable (and maybe could even go to Steam at some point, even if I don't expect it to be a big seller there), then I would be comfortable expanding the scope later.

That means yes, it's more likely that I might continue to add features to the game over time and needn't be in too much of a hurry to get it wrapped early and pivot to a new game for this Patreon.

The biggest feature I've been ambivalent about committing to is actually the addition of more members of the cast; particularly a couple more ladies for Shuji's harem. I suppose I might just be able to start talking about them a little more now, assuming I get the impression from the next public release that the fix has worked out.
