tl;dr - Mika's update is coming soon! I've also found a bug I can't fix right now; hopefully later.

This week's images

These are just a couple of images I liked from the beach day stuff that will be upcoming in the future at some point. (I don't know when, exactly.) Once Mika's introduced it'll be easier to get the beach scene in place - the fact that she's there and suggests the trip is what triggers the event and I didn't want to have to structure it around a "no Mika" version as well as one with her there.

Still working on the Mika stuff

Getting this update done has really been a lot of work. I have the systems of it pretty much functional now, but it will also take some work to finish up the actual content of her scenes, too. The update will include two date chat scenes and two flashbacks to unlock.

I've had to make new assets, write stuff up and make a lot of small changes, while wrestling with issues that have arisen from my changes to already complex game systems. It's been a trial. Still, I'm getting there and I think I'm past the hardest stuff. I took the weekend to relax a little and recover before I go on the final stretch.

The next couple of updates after this will hopefully not be so hard on me. I will be able to add content and fill in some gaps here and there without killing myself over complex programming and large story additions.

Annoying bug

There's a bug at the moment in the Windows version that the game crashes if you open up the subway flashbacks menu and then close it without selecting a flashback to view. That's very annoying and I can't seem to find a fix right now, so I'll have to list it as a known issue and leave it for now. It's not technically a game killer as it doesn't stop progression - I'll get back to it again later.
