tl;dr - The next update is coming ahead of schedule at the moment, will contain new interactive scenes for all three harem girls, will include new VA for them all and also some more big technical changes.

This week's images

I'm spoiling you and giving you three this week! This is from the new Nobuko scene you can expect in the soon to be upcoming patrons' release! These are all in 4K as well, so make sure to open the full size if you want to see the best quality version!

I think all the new scenes coming up in the next update are looking very good, so you can look forward to that.

The v0.16 release is coming soon!

I know the last couple of releases have been a bit behind schedule, but I'm very happy to say I'm going to be able to push the release window right back to the early part of the month for May. I've been able to put aside work for the May release over the last couple of months, so I'm ahead of schedule and I believe the new content's well worth playing, too.

This release will centre on three new interactive scenes, one from each of the ladies, available from their conversation menus once they've been romanced. There's a blowjob from Shizu, sex in the bedroom with Emi (with a kinky twist) and anal sex with Nobuko in the kitchen, as in the images above. I'm also very pleased to say that there's new voice acting coming for all three ladies, including for all those scenes, and some extra stuff for conversation options for Nobuko and Shizu!

There's also going to be some other extra stuff - four new cards, some new sexy messages from each girl, and some technical changes I'll detail below, so it's an update I'm proud to release. I'm just finishing things up at the moment; mostly testing new content and technical changes, as well as editing the last batch of voice acting.

Technical changes

If you've been following these updates you'll be aware that I've had a long-standing battle with the game's engine to try and work around the "now loading" bug that makes the game unplayable for some people. My latest move is to separate the conversation menus into different scenes, so that when you click on the ladies to talk to them you'll get a short loading screen and when you finish the conversation the game will have to reload the apartment. This means more loading screens over all, but the game won't have to load all three conversation menus when it loads the apartment. I didn't want to do this in particular because it means music can't flow between the conversation scenes and the rest of the apartment, but it's just a compromise I'm kind of forced to make in search of making the game more stable and (as a bonus) this should improve the loading time for the apartment overall, too.

I'm also doing something similar with many of the shorter plot scenes, because even though they don't individually contribute much to the overall loading time I want to reduce it as much as possible. Then one more thing I decided to do was cut the apartment music playlist down from 13 random tracks to just 3. This kind of hurts to do, but it does help, I think, for those people who can have music there at all. Some of the other music tracks will at least be able to turn up in those plot scenes I separated, because they wouldn't otherwise have music in them.

In the process of making these changes I was able to purge some superfluous code and fix a couple of bugs that could have been affecting performance. I do think it's much improved, but I'll really appreciate any feedback on that! I can only test the game on my own machine, which tends not to have the bugs that others have reported, so let me know if it's buggy or even if it's noticeably running better. (Fingers crossed!)

So what do you think? Are you liking the look of the new Nobuko scene? Any other thoughts about the new content or technical changes? Let me know in the comments!

Well, to be quite honest, for the grand majority of players that don't have these issues... maybe have these changes be optional? Unless that complicates matters even more of course. But like, reducing the amount of music and adding more loading screens doesn't sound great ... :/

Well, it's not really possible to make them optional; but at the same time the problem seems to have been growing recently, so I do need to do something more about it. At least on my own screen while there's more loading screens, they're mostly quite quick and I think it's possible I've reduced the apartment loading screen quite a bit. Anyway, yes, I understand the concern. I'll wait to see what people have to say after trying it, though.
