Hello everyone, hope you're doing well.

As we come to the end of yet another month (time is nothing but a human construct and therefore an illusion what the hell), I thought I would give you all one last update on the book's progress before we say hello to May (AHHHHHHH)!

From my previous post, I'm sure you all can gather that I was outlining by hand in order to jot down the small little details that pop into my head on a day to day basis and for the last three days, I finally sat down and transcribed my 20+ page of notes into a coherent outline! The outline ended up being nearly 10 pages (yikes) and every single plot point, along with some scenes were written into place.

Now all that's left to do is to get cracking on the draft right?

WRONG!

As much as I would love to write an entire 50,000 word story in one go (and trust me, I very much would), I can't do that. Not only am I physically incapable of doing so, from a writing perspective, it would behoove me to not start on the draft as soon as the outlining phase is complete.

A lot of writers, myself included, like to allow their stories to marinate for a while after a phase of the writing process is completed. Not only will it give the writer a break from working on their story, when said writer returns to the story, they can look upon it with fresh new eyes, which also allows room for more creativity, and therefore, the story could be revised and improve. I do this a lot with my writing pieces, particularly some of my more story-centered scripts. I write the script, let it sit for a few days, then return to it, inevitably with some revisions on hand.

This time around, I'm going to allow the outline to sit for around a month before I delve back into it. I won't stop working on the story as a whole, as clearly my brain cannot be asked to turn off that long, even if you paid it to, but as for the writing portion of it, I'm going to give it a little rest. Coincidentally, my school's semester ends in around a month, so the moment I've passed over the threshold that is the myriad of homework, studying, projects, and finals, I can focus all of my attention to the story.

Enough rambling, here are some details about the story:

- The female lead of the story's name is Addy and the main male lead's name is Soren.

- I will have concept art drawn up for both of them sometime in the near future.

- I have yet to decide how old Addy and Soren will be, but they will be the same age and they will both be adults.

Anyhow, that's all from me for now, apologies for gushing so much about my story, but I'm really excited that I'm finally undertaking such a massive project after years of self doubt, insecurities, and lack of confidence. I'm really lucky to have such an amazing audience who don't mind reading about my nerdy exploits and I hope you all will continue to support me throughout this project.

Thank you so much for reading, take care.

PS: I'm typing this with fake nails on (it's for a project, don't question it), and it's proving to be more challenging than it should be...

Reading these are always a treat, idk why I enjoy seeing the creative process broken down but it's nice. I will say though and I know it was a joke but the whole time human construct thing is always funny to me. Time is a more a measurement of the universe passing us by, which is a little more daunting when you think about the permanence of it
