I did even know there was a mtg pro Tournament I know those arena only A couple of time. I couldn’t get into it. I just like playing in person it just feels better

"Pro" Magic made no sense. The vast majority of involved players didn't play competitive Magic to earn money. The spent money to play competitive Magic. The prize was "winning". The MPL model thought the prize was cash and getting a job. While I'm sure the GP/PT winners didn't mind the cash, that wasn't the story. In the end, they took a large portion of players like me, and told us our smaller goals were not there anymore, and we stopped spending money on cards. All this happened before COVID. There was a point where I would watch GPs or PTs every weekend I could. I would go to the events when they were close enough. It made me buy cards.
