Thank you for this. The calm opinion was refreshing and much needed. I appreciate the work you do and the words you give. Thank you for being in a rational and leading voice in our community Professor!

The phrase "Minions/Mt:G crossover" gives me the creeps. They could reprint fetches in $4 draft boosters with Minions hidden in the background art, making them freely available to every player while slinging them into box toppers and preconstructed decks by the hundreds of thousands and I would be actively repulsed by the existence of the Tic Tac menace on what are supposed to be Magic cards. Where before I would have been overjoyed at more people getting to access necessary game pieces for formats I love, that joy would turn to ashes in my mouth with Illumination Entertainment's involvement. I think I hope you are wrong about the precedent being set almost as much as you do Prof. Thank you for sharing your voice and thoughts and caring so deeply about something that brings us all so much joy even amidst the frustration.

The decisions being made by MTG lately makes me seriously question whether I should stay with the game. I just got involved only a few months ago because of Jumpstart (the new player product that you can't even find) and I'm seeing a rapid acceleration of bad decisions and increasing negativity in the community towards the game. Professor, coming from the largest YouTube voice in the community, I think your statement is telling, "maybe this game isn't for you."
