Not here! $200 mana bases filled with confluences, temples and fetches? Try $0.40 instead. $20.00 for a single rare? How about we just spend that $15 on all 75 cards needed for the deck and its sideboard. That's right, the brew is Budget White Blue, the $20 Hero of Khans of Tarkir Standard. Budget White Blue is the perfect deck for beginners to the game and those on a budget. While it probably won't win a Grand Prix, the deck is competitive none the less. Perfect for Friday Night Magic or Game Day, and an excellent starting place for new or returning players on a budget. Let's take a look! The only rares in the deck are the Eidolon of Countless Battles and the Hero of Iroas. Both are $1.50 each, so $12.00 gets you a playset of each and in the only major money you'll be spending on this deck. Bibliography: This deck is based on Tom Ross' WU Heroic build, but largely with the mana base changed to a more budget build. What attracted me to the deck was that several similar versions were showing up on Magic Online and winning successfully. Since it is only two color, I feel very safe simplifying the mana base.
