The Chaos Of Dominaria Saga: My FAILED Preview Card Video (Patreon)

For those who don't follow me on Facebook and Twitter, some backstory:   I was very nervous about today's video, because it is really is a failed preview card video. I've been beyond sick, fever and no voice, and I just couldn't film anything new. So I went back and tried to re-edit the footage in a new way so as to make it fun and interesting.

My original idea was to ask my father (age 84) to read the Magic: The Gathering novel "Timespiral" and then tell me all about it: what's the story, the characters, the plot? I thought it would be really funny to hear my dad go over all those details in his own way…  ...but the problem was, well....he's 84, and his memory is really, really bad these days.

So even though he read the book, he couldn't for the life of him tell me ANY details about it. So the video just didn't work, but in re-editing it, I think I found a fun, lovely angle…  ...but my worry is that the fun, lovely angle is based out of me knowing my dad, loving him, and that everyone else will just be like "WTF?????" I dunno.  I spent the last two days going through hours of footage to make this thing, and I hope people enjoy it.

  I'm glad to have these little testaments to my dad that will always be around. My son will be able to watch them when he's older, and get to see these little snapshots (as it were) of the character my old man is.  Also, dad was so fucking sad the video got scrapped, even though I assured him it wasn't a big deal and that I had other ideas, but wow was he angry at himself and depressed. He literally shouted in joy when I told him I made it work. I'm glad to be able to give that to him too.
