The name of the set was inadvertently revealed in a WPN-mail send to retailers in April 2017. Iconic Masters offers players a tour through some of the most powerful cards in over 23 years of Magic history. Featuring new artwork on many cards, the set brings an array of massive Angels, Sphinxes, Demons, Dragons and Hydras alongside some favorite and most memorable spells. Every box of Iconic Masters contains 24 booster packs — each with fifteen randomly inserted game cards, including one premium card in every pack. The 16-card boosters (the sixteenth card is a marketing card) feature artwork from Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, Heroes' Bane and Firemane Angel. Iconic Masters was designed to provide an exciting and unique Limited experience with cards that had never been drafted together. Like for its predecessors, the MSRP of one booster is set to $9.99. Mark Rosewater considers the name of the set misleading, because some really iconic cards are missing.

the art of these cards reminds me of what you said about homogenous art style. when i started playing and found boxes of assorted singles at a hole-in-the-wall comic/gaming store, i was totally enthralled by the differing and "archaic" art styles. it was like i found gems of human imagination to explore for EVER. who wants to look over stones that all look the same?? "they don't make em like they used to," indeed.

I am confused by this video. IMA is a terrible set, sure, but making a big deal out of opening just two Mishra's Baubles, and considering '3 mythics per box' notable makes no sense as both are well within the expected range (2.7 per each uncommon in three boxes, and 2.98 of each mythic per box). Remember, these are 24 booster boxes. Regarding reprints and the high cost of modern, I recommend reading https://www.mtggoldfish.com/articles/modern-prices-masters-sets-and-reprint-equity, which works with actual data. Sure, it is still an expensive format, and it's of course legitimate to still consider it a problem at the current level, but one should also acknowledge that it's much less so than just 1-2 years ago.

Professor, is there anything you can do about the requirement to have social media for your give aways? I do not use any social media platform, so I am unable to sign up for your giveaways, since it requires one to prove "I'm a real person".

Its not really about proving that you are "a real Person". Its rather about him gaining subscribers, followers, etc. However i dont think that there is a way for the Prof to do anything, since this Giveaway-Platform doesnt support any other way of entering (except through social media), at least i havent seen any (would kinda defeat the porpuse). Nonetheless you sure are a subscriber, so thats at least one entry.
