Excellent episode, thank you. What are Ukrainians going to do about Nikolai Gogol? They are extracting all Russian books from libraries and destroying them. Gogol wrote in Russian though he was a filo-Malorossian and considered himself to be a Khokhol. He much preferred to live in Italy though. Taras Shevchenko naively thought that Gogol did not speak Malorossian and therefore wrote exclusively in Russian. He was wrong. Gogol's Ukrainian was fluent but, of course, he had to write in Russian to have any chance to make an impact.

A suggestion for a future episode - there is a talk in the Western media that the Ukrainian government has purged from its ranks people upholding extreme right and neo-Nazi ideology. Is that so and what political views prevail in the present Ukr government?
