Ginger looked into the eyes of Drayven and smiled brightly. Her intentions were clear, and she was ready to fess up.
"Drayven," she exclaimed, "I love you! I want us to be together forever!"
Drayven's eyes widened. How could he have known she felt this way?
There were no warning signs, no clear indication that she had a crush on him. What was she thinking?
As Ginger waited eagerly for a response, a drop of sweat raced down the right side of his face.
"Ginger, I..." His words were jittery. "You know that I already have feelings for... someone else..."
Ginger could already feel her heart beginning to tear apart at "someone else".
She knew that if she was going to be with him forever, she better change his mind.
