so just yesterday i finally managed to get bone driven shape keys to work in blender.

a

"bone driver shape key" is a modification to the geometry in order to

fix a problem with the shape as the model bends or "deforms"


the

prime example is with the shoulders.  if you bend the arm down and the

shoulder does not look right you modify the shape and save that

information as a "shape key". 



you then tell the program to

activate that shape key when you move the bone a certain way.  this is 

called a "driver" and was the bane of my existence because i never could

get them to work....now i can



the good new is i can make better

rigs.....the bad news is, they will take longer but those on my third

tier will get a much better product, and i will make it easier to use.
