so yesterday was filled with a lot of 3d rigging and weight painting experiments. i have been working on getting blender shape keys to work with done drivers so that i have more control over the deformations and can make a simpler rig structure. however with drivers i have found every tutorial skipping over the most important part of linking the driver to bone movement. now i HAVE been able to make it work a few times but my understanding of WHY i am getting it to work is non-existent. basically i wiggle parameters around until it starts working. i have also stumbled upon an interesting fact that the IK chains in Daz Genesis 2 figures are significantly better than in Gen 1. if you remember from my earlier videos there way a major problem with joint Spaz and geometry 'explosion' (seriously try turning off the limitations parameters in gen 1 and try grabbing and moving the palms of the hands. true nightmare fuel) these problems although not fully resolved have been greatly reduced to where you can turn of rotation limits and pin the hands and feet and get complex and dynamic poses done very easily

Sounds like a full time job getting them to play nice together just to make a great image. I like the overall lighting on the girl but the way she's standing on her legs just doesn't seem quite right like their proportions are off.
