Nikki puts on her game face (lipstick, mascara, and all) and tackles the toughest dinner of her life...

Hey everyone!

In this episode, Nick / Nikki is forced to get ready for dinner with her dad, Zach, and the insidious Hutchinson. It's a nerve-wracking experience, but Nikki is determined not to show any fear. Do you think she'll be able to get through the evening without breaking down?

This episode was sooo fun to write and the art was really challenging. Hopefully the results speak for themselves. I'm working hard to make the episodes as photoreal as possible! I'm especially proud of the exterior shot in this one (outside Nikki's home) because those have always been so difficult!

I have been wondering if gay Zach would still be attracted to Nikkis' newly feminized form. He seems rather happy with what he is holding in his hands in that last panel. the last line seemed a bit off, because if one of these two quartbacks is going to wind up being a receiver, I don't think it is Zach

I'm loving it, excelente! Two captions I particularly liked: page 8, 2nd panel, Nikki says "why do I have to be good at everything". He's admiring and liking his girl form, he knows he's, better she's beautiful. Then page 17, look at her feet positions, really girly, not how a regular guy would move his legs and feet. Slowly but surely she's becoming a girl unconsciously. Not to mention page 7, panel 1, she look so hot in that dress and in that pose, very feminine.

Normally, I start my comments with congrats and then get right to the story but good god Emory! The art on these chapters is SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! On your comment about the exterior of the house, wow! Just wow! I didn’t even think about it as not being a created image! Also, Nikki’s face is so pretty in makeup 🥺 i wish she liked it more. I totally get the desire to not wear and, the genuine, dysphoria but still! Nikki pretty! She’s by far one of my most favorite of your characters! Just so feisty! Also, Zach catching her!!!?? *fans self* such a sexy scene!! The little smirk and everything! Ahhhhhhhh! I know those two probably won’t do anything, but you know, i’m not against it if they do ;) I’d find it odd if Zach tried anything genuinely and wasn’t forced to because of him being attracted to men, but idk if he’d make an exception for our girl I have to emphasize this, you are SO good at your craft! Somehow, I swear you put out something even higher quality update. I loved it Emory!!!!!!!!!

I can see it in Zachary's Face. I think he would make a beautiful Kari. And I wouldn't mind an alternate reality where Zach and his father are both turned into women. BUT for some reason Zach seems to be the only one happy about the prospect of dating men. Or even better....Nikki finds herself thinking Zach is cute and struggles with the new emotions they bring. and to her surrpise, Zach isn't the only cute guy on campus

Thank you so much, Maggie! Yeah... Nikki really knocked it out of the park with this look. She's not happy, though. Why does she have to be so good at everything... even being beautiful!? 😂 Episode 1,234 might be a tad generous for Nikki... she's that stubborn! LOL

Hmmm. All very interesting. Nikki’s vocabulary has dropped right away from all the macho bravado of her exchanges with Scott/Sandy and unconsciously moved into a distinctly feminine register. Not only that, her movements, thanks to your subtle art, Emory, so sensitive, are infinitely more feminine too. Finally, I think the final frame may show us two things for the first time in the entire story: Zach without his sunglasses, which have concealed what he’s thinking, and what looks like a genuine and spontaneous smile. The next chapter promises to be a humdinger!

Aw, Nina, I'm so glad you're enjoying the story. Nikki's transformation in this episode was sooo much fun to write and make images for! She may not be feeling any more comfortable with her femininity, but she certainly looks beautiful. Mom's makeup lessons must've been a success! Zach and Nikki make an interesting pair, don't they? Two people who have reasons to dislike each other but who are both stuck in this crazy situation together. We'll just have to wait and see how things unfold between them! Thank you, Bell! Aw, Zach might indeed make a pretty girl. An alternate reality pinup image might be in "her" future! Poor Nikki is already struggling with so many emotions that she doesn't understand. She'd be even more confused if she starts to have feelings for Zach! Of course, same for Zach since he's only into guys... We'll see what happens!

Thank you so much, Robert! You have such a keen eye for detail. Nikki has definitely switched into a "softer" version of her personality for this dinner. How much is for show and how much is genuine? That's a question with a deep, complex answer that Nikki herself may take a long time to figure out... As for Zach, I can confirm that this is only the SECOND time his sunglasses are off! It's a brief moment, but the first is in the warehouse when Nikki is first being fitted with her "device." He takes them off when his dad exits for a few minutes and Zach and Nikki exchange a few honest words. 😊
