Some of you already know and love The Sisters of Dorley as much as I do, but for those of you who haven't been introduced to this amazing series yet by my wonderful friend Alyson Greaves, you owe it to yourselves to check it out!

In fact, I'm such a fan that I couldn't help but create illustrations of some of the main characters! These images depict the characters in the various states of change, although not all of them have advanced this far in the plot as of yet.

Alyson is a fantastic writer, and her characters are so well developed, you can't help but get attached to them. I can't do a better job at describing the book than the author herself, so here's how she sums it up:

Mark Vogel is like the older brother Stefan Riley never had, until one day he disappears, and Stefan has to adapt to life without him. But, one year later, when he runs into a girl who looks near-identical to Mark, Stefan becomes obsessed. He discovers that other boys have disappeared, too, dozens over the years, most of them students of the Royal College of Saint Almsworth, many of them troubled or unruly before their disappearance.
What is happening to these boys? Who are the handful of women on campus who bear a striking resemblance to some of those who went missing? And what is the connection to the mysterious Dorley Hall?
Stefan works hard to get into the Royal College for one reason and one reason only: to find out exactly what happened to the women who live at Dorley Hall, and to get it to happen to him, too.

A closeted trans girl attempts to infiltrate a secret underground forced feminisation programme.

I love the story and characters so much because although it's a "forced fem" tale, Alyson's story is so much more.

If you want to check out the story you can find it on Scribblehub or you can buy the first book on Amazon

However, the latest chapters are first posted on Alyson's Patreon, which also features more of her amazing transgender-themed fiction.

I cannot more highly recommend this story.

❤❤❤❤ I love these designs for the characters more every time I see them, and they have permanent residence in my brain as the canonical versions now 😍 I keep saying this, but I’m so incredibly flattered that you went to the time to do this. 🥰

I hope you'll not take this question as inappropriate but how much of your story is accessible free and how much only on your Patreon or Amazon? Lowest tier will grant access to newest chapters? I am asking this way cause following only does not allow to send DMs... I am not sure if I can afford another Patreon... :(

Alyson Greaves

All of it is available to read for free at the Scribblehub link Emory posted. I put chapters up early on Patreon but they go free after a week (the most recent chapter went free a few days ago and I haven't yet finished the next one). I do have some Patreon-exclusive stuff, with plans for more, but Sisters of Dorley started as a free project so it will always be readable, in some form, for free.

(And on Amazon is for people who want the story in paperback or as an ebook. Apart from a few corrected typos, it's the same exact thing.)

Saying what I always say: Dorley is trans femme fic Watchmen. It's our collective baggage - all the stories we all read back when we could not share and laugh about them. It's our community - a vast mix of reactions and struggles and ...why we need a community. It's cathartic- you will see your own journey in this or maybe consider one. Love it to death. ( Also read: Glow, Worm. )

Thank you! Also we so need to do a Dorley thing together!

I don't know this story, but the evolution of the characters is really nice and pretty!

Beverly

Nice. No over the top bimbo types.

Thank you, Erica! And you should definitely check the story out. It's fantastic. I know English isn't your first language, but I imagine Google could translate for you. 😊

Some of the main characters you say... I am on second chapter... Do you plan to add more of them? Where is Melissa? ;)

ckarya

As I already commented, I love Dorley...and I would love to "see" Paige, Vicky, Melissa, Maria...hehehehe all of them! 😍 PS: a crossover of Sister of Dorley and Half Sisters....an exchange of St. Cristopher and Saints students....🤯

stacy C

Ooooh I'll defo be checking it out.....thanks Em x

MaggieHeels

Please continue this...... As ckarya said I would love to see Paige, Vicky, Pippa, William, Adam, Abby ALL OF THEM... ❣️❣️❣️❣️

MaggieHeels

How epic it would be if like Netflix or Amazon Prime Video would pick it up for couple Mil $ ??? oh... 1 chapter -> 1h episode and all characters which are non cis should be played by corresponding actors... 🥰🥰🥰 how you think toxic masculinity of hour real world could handle this??? :D (sorry Emory i am talking about not your content on your Patreon ;) )

MaggieHeels

Imagine Nikki spending whole week with close proximity of Paige looking at her with smile as wide as possible......... ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh 🥰🥰🥰❣️❣️❣️ P.S. Paige thoughts: "oh.... another painting to be painted how cool 😎"

emoryahlberg

A crossover would certainly be interesting! I think Nikki would find the Dorley girls as incomprehensible as she finds Sandy. 😉

I’ve read Alyson’s brilliant novel on Amazon UK and there’s no doubt that she’s a gifted writer by any standard. Your illustrations add a very interesting dimension to what’s already a multi-layered story. Great art as always, Emory.

emoryahlberg

Thank you so much, Robert! I really appreciate that, and these were so fun to make for her!

I’ve read it on Amazon UK and it’s one of the most satisfying tg novels I’ve read for quite some time, with fully developed characters, a clear narrative tone and a credible background. You’re very talented Alyson, and I look forward to reading more of Dorley in due course. Best of luck in everything. Rob xx
