Jill and her brother-in-law have a heart-to-heart about his femme future...

Phew! I loved putting this episode together, but I really felt for Jill. She's desperately trying to show Connor kindness, hoping it may ease his fears. Meanwhile, coming back to this place has reopened old wounds for Jill, and has her thinking about how far she has come...and whether she's still the same person who was once as scared and terrified of the future as Connor.

And then there's Davis, who's just an asshole. 😉

I really can't wait to hear your thoughts!

OH SNAP! SHE IS RIGHT!! I love it!

Jill won’t use the Taser on Davis, because it just doesn’t fit with the trajectory of the story or the psychology of their relationship. But how wonderful if she did! Unfortunately Davis knows that too, and he’ll tantalise her with ambiguous information about her fate, because he’s not only an asshole, he’s a master manipulator too. Much more crude than Xu, but pretty damn effective. The circle’s closing on her.

Bonding moment between in-laws - including some touch love ;) Davis got caught with the moment? ...Situation was over, he had no reason to give Jill that taser...

emoryahlberg

Thank you, punarotta! Yes, some very HARSH "touch love" 😉 They're going to be touring most of the island, and Davis does want Jill to have protection. You never know what those "kitties" (as Davis calls them) will do. He also doesn't think of Jill as a threat. To his mind, she's already been tamed. Is he correct?

punarotta

Ok, taser is a painful but still relatively safe way to put that into test. ...mixed feelings how I want this to play out...

Those cliffhangers are killing meeeeeeee...

Oh my god, go Jill! Connor discovering way too late that his masculinity was stored in the balls. And I adore his little, "it's true, isn't it?" moment, like despite meeting Jill and Josie, despite the expensive hotel room with the cameras, despite Davis and the other handler, DESPITE THE PARALYTIC, somehow they might have been messing with him about the injection into his testicles. Sorry, love! Jill once again talking about survival as a strength, to motivate Connor, who still sees it as a weakness. "Don't talk about her. You think she'll want me now?" — Did YOU even want her, Connor? You were very unfaithful for a man who gives a shit what his wife thinks. "After they've done with me?" — Oh, I see, Connor, you're stuck on your wife not wanting you because you're becoming a woman and not, e.g. because she's going to find out about your side-hobby as an international rapist. (Is Connor the worst person we've yet seen go through this? Maybe!) "You've ruined my life!" says the man who made Josie choke on his dick when he could have just walked away. The LOOK on Davis' face after Jill tweaks Connor's nipple! He's so... no, not proud. Maliciously entertained? Yeah. For once, Davis, I am right there with you. Yeah, Connor, damn right those breasts will hurt as they grow. Hope you aren't a stomach sleeper! Jill trying her absolute best to build community with the guy on the floor in front of her. She's so relentlessly kind. Kind of a genius move by Davis there, considering how broken Connor is at the end. Show him Jill again, show him his future, and have his future be nothing but compassionate? His little apology, his admission that he's scared. Baby steps. Now, to atone for all the really terrible shit you did, boyo. Jill's been facing down this Coming Out dinner for so long. I love this gambit of hers to try and get more information — any information — on what's going to happen to her. Amazing update, Emory. Again!

Good episode Emory, but I want moresss...hehehehe. I can't wait for that tour of the facility to meet its old and new tenants. ❤

emoryahlberg

Honestly me too 🤣 Davis is SUCH a jerk, it’d be wonderful to see him get a taste of what he dishes out…

emoryahlberg

Thank you, ckarya! We’ll get two episodes of J&J next month and the tour shall continue. I’m looking forward to Jill meeting new people and understanding the breadth of Xu’s operation… 🙂

I still want Davis get a taste of his own medicine based on carma.

emoryahlberg

That's a canny take, Robert. I agree with you. Davis is more intelligent than he appears. We know Xu only hires the best people for the job. So even if Xu needs to tolerate the occasional indiscretion or outburst, Davis is obviously very talented in the sort of psychological warfare necessary to make a woman out of a man. But I wouldn't totally count out Jill using the taser on Davis just yet. I at least thing she believes she is capable. We'll see! 😀

Emory, Mason's enhanced female serum can fix can adjust Davis' transformation.

emoryahlberg

😂 Connor is luckily not quite as dense as some ex-quarterbacks we know, but a part of him was still hoping the injection was a mind game instead of the real deal. He really, really believed his position with the US government would mean they wouldn't dare "alter" him in the way they have Jack. YES! Connor is much more concerned with Emily as a reflection of his status as a man. She's a high-class lady and (as we may eventually learn from Connor's backstory) way out of his league. Of course, Emily is no fool, so she must have seen SOMETHING in this guy before he went all rapey "James Bond." I really, really loved Davis' smarmy smile when he heard Connor yelp. "This is working," he's thinking. And if the projections are right, Connie won't be small up top, either. Poor Jill never really commented on this, but she does have the stretchmarks to prove it 😅. Connor really, really tested Jill's kindness -- but she came out victorious. Her empathy has grown by leaps and bounds... or maybe is simply finally being listened to after years of Jack shutting down that part of himself. Now that voice is what she listens to the most, in no small part because of the love and understanding Holly has shown her. If Mason had remained Jill's handler, she would have turned out a much different and likely less genuine version of herself. Davis is a brute, but like many sociopaths, he really is a masterful manipulator. He knows what buttons to push and levers to pull to force his "kitties" (🤢) into compliance, and to shape them into the women the clients demand. Xu wouldn't have kept him in that position for as long as he has if he wasn't good at his job. What's interesting is we know Mr. Davis worked for Xu BEFORE this whole "feminization" thing began with Holden / Holly. What was his job before, I wonder? 😉

emoryahlberg

oh my god, I said "really, really" three times in my comment to you and now I'm mortified

Andre

Yes, but being a girl would kill him more than any physical damage could do.

Patrick Hunt

Love the dynamic between Jack/Jill and Davis, you don't know what the outcome will be at the end despite the shit that has happened between them.

stacy C

Oh Jill, just when things were starting to get a bit easier for you.....will u never learn lol x

emoryahlberg

Jill’s growing confidence in herself will either be her salvation or her downfall. 🙂

emoryahlberg

Thank you, Patrick! I agree their relationship is actually quite complex than it appears on the surface. Jill is especially a bit of a wild card now because she’s starting to feel more confident in herself and her importance to Xu.

France Day

Emory, from what I see, I believe our pretty Jill will make a super-efficient agent for Mr. Xu's secret organization. She went through her initiation with great confidence and intelligence. I believe she is the diamond M Xu has been waiting for and the story is just starting again at another level for the unique Jill. Congratulations also for the writing.

emoryahlberg

Thank you so much, France! I agree, Jill handled herself quite well with Connor, despite the difficult emotions of that encounter. If becoming an "agent" were a possibility, do you think Jill would ever join with Second Dawn?

France Day

With all the sensitive knowledge Mr. Xu has about Jill, she could "easily" become a "high-profile liaison" for the Second Dawn organization. She has a world to discover before her Emory.
