The really, truly penultimate episode of Anywhere but Boring! Sorry, this is a little late.

Dylan is faced with the dark side of fame while grappling with a still changing body, all while the lie that started it all tears him up inside.

Need to catch up? Here's a link to PART 1 through PART 5.

Can't wait to read your thoughts! Dylan's story will end with Part 7 this Thursday!

You've set this up beautifully for an epic final chapter, Emory. And speaking of "beautiful," you never cease to amaze me with your fantastic artwork and stunning heroines across all of your stories.

Emily Morgan

I’ve been looking forward to this chapter ever since the last one came out. The whole story just hits all the right points for me. I love how for once it’s a character who’s gone down a path more of her free will the most of your characters. The representations are something to be proud of and the plot is gripping. What can I say, am a big fan of Lily.

Becca Royal-Gordon

The Comic-Con one just looks like a photo. Like, holy shit, Emory.

This story is so real and unreal at the same time... do not know what to say else...

Thomas Tolliver

Need next week right now! Absolutely adore.

Bobbie

Stunningly good. Thank you. ❤

Can the pinup next month be Dylan standing next to Andy where he's telling her to "sweep the leg, no mercy?" I'm begging you.

Gemma

Amazing story, amazing images, Dylan looks so pretty.

Female-Bosmer-Always

That was most kind and sweet of Andy to agree to train Lily like that. I'm hoping she really becomes a blackbelt...for her own safety, my muse Emory.

Omagathief

Damn Emory, Lily’s lines to her-would-be-killer damn near broke me when I read them, I was nearly a crying mess 😢

Thanks, Tim! I'm really excited about where this story is heading. I've always believed /hoped that the visual element adds depth to storytelling, especially when dealing with themes of identity and transformation. With Dylan/Lily, I wanted to capture that physical journey alongside the emotional one. 😊

emoryahlberg

Thank you, Emily! When I was writing the character, I wanted to explore the idea of identity as something fluid, something we can choose rather than something thrust upon us. Can't wait to see what you think of the final episode!

emoryahlberg

I totally get that reaction. When I was writing Dylan/Lily's journey, I wanted to explore how much of our identity is what we show the world versus who we truly are inside? And can those lines blur so much that we lose track of the difference?

emoryahlberg

Those lines hit me hard when I was writing them too. I wanted to capture the raw pain and anger that Lily/Dylan was feeling - not just about the attack, but about EVERYTHING. It's like all the fear, confusion, and self-loathing just came pouring out in that moment. 💖

Ella Cherry

This one is pretty deep and emotional. It really resonated with me in both good and challenging ways. To me, that's what makes a good story great: reaching our feelings. Some parts hit really close to home.

The Comic-con image is really mind-blowing, I could have sworn it was a photo... and the one on Maxime's cover, no slouch either! 🤯

Robertlouis

It’s terrific, isn’t it? The lighting gives it such a level of immediacy and realism. Rembrandt would have been jealous.

Robertlouis

There’s some very powerful and emotional writing here, Emory, especially in the exchanges between Dylan and Daisy. That confession has been building for a while now, but it still had the ability to shock, and the dialogue was some of the best you’ve done, both heartbreaking and profound. But it had become both inevitable and necessary for both parties. Whether there can be a reset of the relationship on anything like the previous basis seems very unlikely, maybe impossible. Whatever, Dylan/Lily has a lot of thinking to do before the curtain comes down. And a final word on the art, for a tale which relies so heavily on the text: it is some of the very best you’ve ever done. Incredibly expressive and subtle, with the lighting adding brilliantly to the tension and drama throughout. Wonderful stuff. xx

Pedro

Where is the last chapter?

emoryahlberg

I'm so glad, Ella. 💕 The final chapter will be out in a few hours. Hope you like the conclusion!

emoryahlberg

Thank you so much, Robert! Writing that argument between Dylan and Daisy was one of those times when I simply let the characters do their own thing. I know that sounds pretentious, but it's so cool when it happens. 😊 And thanks for mentioning the art! I'm really proud of most of them. 💕
