The start of a new series!

I love all my characters and comics, but sometimes I have stories I want to tell that require more than a caption, but less than a whole epic comic series.

This is an attempt to tell one such story. Dylan's take will be self-contained and finished in about 4 or 5 parts.

If you like this format, I'll do more in the future - so please let me know what you think! 💖

I get the impression that when the casting directors glanced at each other that they (especially the woman) didn’t 100 percent believe that he was trans. And that she was giving him the chance to step out of the role. Because they expect full commitment. And that she somehow knows he is just lying to get the part. But also, she can see he has the acting talent and therefore feels obligated to give him the opportunity if he can find that connection.

That's a really insightful take, Emily, and I think you're onto something. The casting directors, especially the woman with the serious expression, were definitely perceptive. They could sense that something wasn't quite adding up with the story. But in Hollywood, talent (and looks) often speaks louder than words! The woman was giving Dylan an out, a chance to step back and admit the truth. But when he doubled down on the lie, she decided to give him the opportunity anyway...
