TIME SENSITIVE UPDATE (Patreon)

Hey Everyone!

As you can see in the above images we bring more tidings of not so great news. 

To not cause a panic, our channel is fine and doing great! This post concerns the status of FULL LENGTH REACTIONS now and indefinitely. With that in mind... here is what happened and still happening.

- Our Vimeo account has been flagged and under review as algorithms have detected 3rd party sources. AKA (the voices of characters in the things we watch)

- We will be taking down our Vimeo account as precautions to avoid legal issues.

- Your Name (Full Length) | A Silent Voice (Full Length) | Star Wars Visions (Full Length) are all being taken down from Vimeo.

Thats the short explanation, below will gives deeper insight into why we face this issue and why we are making this decision for the time being.

As many of you know, we, on our YT Channel, only ever release standard video reactions. A chopped up experience giving highlights of the reactions (As many other channels do.)  It was never our intention to make full length when we first started. We considered it after the slew of requests came in as our audience grew. Even that posed too great a task in the end, as we are limited in our time and didn't want to put a hold on current content.

YOUR NAME (Full Length) was our first attempt at delivering on that new format as we had some extra time on our hands. As some of you know, releasing that UNCUT VERSION was a disaster. We got struck over and over again with, not a copy-claim, but a BLOCK on the video.
80% of the viewing base would be unable to view based off the country they reside in. Mind you, we edited multiple versions of the uncut to make it work (the percentage only moving a tad lower or higher). The Youtube's algorithm is a sentinel and near impossible to work around in order to make it fair usage................................so we moved to Vimeo.

We were recommended this as an alternative and for a time it has been helpful. But any site that allows uploading of videos will also have its own methods to scan/detect (what they believe is an unfair use of 3rd party resources. In this example A Silent Voice (Full Length). Just like "YOUR NAME FULL LENGTH"  we did our best to edit out licensed songs or featured music but they struck us all the same and even worse if put a holt on all our videos for a time yesterday. Vimeo had got in-contact with us for our infringement explaining why the temporary freeze on our account.

And here is the ultimate problem. As of right now, we at WTR don't have the best equipment to soundproof these videos from picking up the sound that ultimately gets us in so much trouble. So much time has also been spent on our part that it has caused pausing on our work flow and we would rather spend out time continuing what we like to do that fight a mystery box. The next few months you'll be seeing slight changes as we may move our physical operation elsewhere and may change our set up (soundwise) but for now.....it is what it is.

Sorry for the rant. I hope you all understand where we are coming from and don't feel like you are being ripped off from content. If you have any personal problems (DM US).
