I totally get why some people might be put off by Floch, but I genuinely like his character and what he brings to the series. It's exactly BECAUSE Floch didn't want to be there in Shiganshina that his opinion matters, that was the whole point of the argument he had with Eren this episode. He was a normal recruit who felt inspired to join the scouts and fight for humanity only to have that dream shattered when he's told he's just cannon fodder. Is that naive of him? Hell yeah it is. But that's human. As was mentioned by Keith Shadis in S3 E11, he's not one of the "chosen ones". He's not "special". According to Isayama, Floch represents the average person in the world of AoT, he's a what a REAL person would think and feel in their world. He explicitly stated that Floch was the character he wrote to pull readers back to reality and make the dire situations relatable for the average person. Otherwise, the story would only ever favor the "important" MCs. The opposition is necessary. Floch gives voice to the minority- he represents the side characters in anime who don't get to be vocal since they're not important enough to the plot to really get any big moments. His entire character subverts the "MCs/chosen characters are the only ones who matter" mindset that a lot of animes have. Rarely, if ever, does an anime give the perspective of the fodder. I think it's a breath of fresh air, and it certainly makes the world of AoT feel more real. OFC he'd be scared. Anyone would. Anyone reading this who thinks otherwise is either a liar or a fool. Regardless of who you would have picked, and setting aside Levi's decision, from a completely neutral standpoint, it's an undeniable FACT that Eren and Mikasa acted selfishly on the rooftop. They attacked their comrades and superiors because of their OWN personal feelings. They thought the world revolved around them, and because they're emotionally attached to Armin they acted recklessly. Mikasa LITERALLY tries to kill Levi and physically hurts Hange and there are no lasting repercussions. According to the manga, they're in the dungeon for like 3-4 days before they get released early so they're not even there for the full sentence. It even gets played off for comedic value when Levi tells them that Hange mimicking Eren saying "It's called the Attack Titan" is punishment enough! The world doesn't revolve around Eren, Mikasa, and Armin, and they shouldn't expect to always get their way. But somehow, they always do, and it's always the no-name side characters that pay the price.

This is Fine

Eren figured it out in this episode in order for him to use the Founding Titan ability to control all Titans. He must make physical contact with a member of the royal family who is already a Titan . That’s why he didn’t want to tell the Government that because he’s afraid they might try to do something to Historia

a good analogy would be us discovering aliens to be tangibly true, and/or being their experiment.

Some clarification on Floch: He was part of the 104th like all the other people we followed, but didn't join the Survey Corps until Marlowe and crew did. I think he may have joined the Garrison. The reason Floch and most of them joined was because of the hype surrounding the Survey Corps after the uprising, plus joining at that point meant that they could partake in the glory of retaking Wall Maria. Regarding soldiers knowing what they are getting themselves into, Floch joined because of the hype and probably feels misled by it. The first point where he realizes it's not all fun and glory is when he talked to them at dinner and noticed they were different than when he knew them from training and realized they must've seen some shit, but even then I don't think he fully grasped how fucked up everything they experienced was. I think he might even feel some survivor's guilt, being the only one to survive out of all those recruits who joined because of the hype. He's still a dick, though, so fuck him lol Love the mega breakdown at the end.

Connie's mom also talked. It's not just the titan on Ilse's notebook showing a pure titan talking.

Loved your reaction guys, as always you are banging it! Becoming my favorite AOT reactions. Imagine Grisha meeting Mikasa and Armin the first time: HOOORY SHIIIT

I understand why you keep saying that Homeland is Eldia but I don't think that's still the name of the land, if it ever was (assuming they're referring to the land not just the people that live there). For example the United States was not always called that. And if another country took over the US, I'm pretty sure they would change the name.

Erwin is my #1 character. He is so complex. Yes he was a devil. He understandably obsessed with finding the truth hidden from them. He sacrificed ppl because HE needed those answers; for revenge and atonement. But, at the same time, he was genuinely leading humanity towards a better future. And in the end he was able to make peace with passing the torch. It's like Levi said Erwin was the only one who could've led humanity to this point. He had the motivation and the ruthlessness. But he couldn't see beyond the basement. Levi recognized that and picked Armin because he considered him to be the right person to eventually lead humanity beyond the walls; and to let Erwin rest.
