Content

Well, I am about to go to sleep but today I almost finish the lineart for the new enemy, also today I finished coding all the fixes that I had on the list for the next update. Once I finish this guy I will code the new region, the plains, and probably will have the new build ready for either today or tomorrow!

The content there isn't that much tho, 7 scenes (3 with the dodo, 3 with this guy,  and one with the blacksmith at Aurorum), but priority right now is to make the game enjoyable to play making the gameplay works

Well, I'm more looking for a female cast...but art is still nice.

Just played through the demo. Great writing so far, I'm digging it. Art looks good too. Say I wanted to turn my character into a slave, will that be a possible ending? And similarly, will the option to turn an entire sex (male or female) into slaves either by force or through corruption be possible? I'll still play the game even if it won't, but it can't hurt to ask ^^

haha we are aware of our audience, there are some male chars but its not the main focus

Thanks! Im glad you like it! Well, there will be 6 different endings (the game will be devided in 5 chapters, and the story will take different paths after your choices at the end of chapter 2, with a pure and corrupt route), and althought we didnt thought that specifically yet, its possible (We can probably adapt the ending with the rank system we are just adding, at first this feature is very limited but once we develope it more we can make at least the tone of the game more adjusted to your tastes, i.e. if you use the slave collar and dress yourself like a slave, some NPCs will treat you like one, specially the smug ones). You will be able to turn most characters into slaves, for now we've been playing with the idea that only certain kind of characters can become slaves (the idea that there are "Strong" and "Weak" souls, and only people with weak souls can be enslaved), but the game is in early development so that may change. But the truth is that the game is this way just because we want to make choices meaningful and transforming a main follower into a slave is a lot of extra scenes and work :P and we would like to add variety.

Fair enough. I'll enjoy it either way :) I think I read somewhere that you were looking for feedback? I don't know your plans for how combat is gonna work in the future, but it seems to me if that's gonna be a sort of grindy event that you have to go through to explore or gather resources - which is fine - then you might as well keep it simple. The way that you have all these different classes and abilities made available to the MC seems a bit excessive. Meeting a new enemy for the first time is interesting, but the rest of the time it just becomes something you skip through, choosing the most efficient ability to get through it as quickly as possible. At least I do :p EDIT: I will stress though that this is the opinion of someone (me) who just hates random combat encounters in his RPG's.

TL;DR: Agree, a grindfest isnt fun at all, we thought of that from the beggining and hopefully we can tackle the issue in a proper maner! I agree, from the start we didnt wanted to make enemies just a chore or useless grind, we have a few things thought about that for the future, but right now: Beating them will increase the prosperity of your city 1 point per victory, up to 5 times (so +5 prosperity if you beat an enemy 5 times, which means +15 gold each turn for the rest of the game!), defeating them 5 times will also unlock their potions at the slave market (right now most potions are automatically open because those enemies are not impleneted yet tho!) and each enemy will have at least 5 different scenes (3 for victory, 1 defeat, 1 submission), so these first 5 battles you can explore new content! What we are going to add in the future is that after you defeat them 5 times you can disable them from combat, although this means you wont level up your stats or skills in this way anymore (we will add other means to improve yourself in the future tho, not just grinding). You will be able to enable them again tho. Our idea is that different skill levels may change slightly certain scenes, i.e. if you start as an alchemist at the intro when Helena is attacked your character knows what they throwed at her. It's small, just a detail really, but I think it makes it more interesting. Also different skills are important to your style of game! But more info will be in the game in the next release (hopefully tomorrow or today!).

I've said a bunch already, but I just wanna say I really enjoyed Helena. I like Fox Guy and Abaddon too (can't wait to toy with his/her sexual orientation), but Helena's the favorite so far. If I had to not enslave someone, it'd be her.

DuoDevelopers

hey thanks a lot! Glad to hear that haha, actually Helena was like our presentation card, the first almost complete follower, in the sense that we aim for the other followers to have as much content as her (she has around 55k words, others are still in their 25-30k)
