DiCK 0.2.0 Dev build out! (Patreon)
Content
The next update needed a lot of fixing: From how to handle quests, the journal, combat, some changes on the UI (like adding accesories for the characters), and rewriting a lot of things from scratch, and hiring artist to renew all the old art (which is almost complete and certainly will be for the next month)
So keep tunned for the next updates, art, and else. I'll get the next public build ready in a week or the end of the month. It also should be said that from this point, I'll do a public release every 2 months and a dev build each. This is because I don't want to keep hurrying builds with bugs, need to wait some time for art (some artist have a month long queue) and because I am also doing commissions to get more money for art, editing, etc. since the current amount I get from the game is not enough to polish it as I want.
So even if I won't be directly working as much on the game, like doing art for it, pretty much all my earnings will still be dedicated to it. Hopefully I can reach a point where I am able to hire a full time artist and writer to produce more content monthly, while I focus on the mechanics.
Still, I decided to cut the story that was before and use it as a structure for the new one, but a new one thats going to go more in depth into each character and each phase of the story, instead of a hurried mess that was before. I am going to do an update on the old build soon, which would be the previous build but with the new art, but beyond that, this is closer to the game I wanted than what I was doing before.
So for now, this dev build includes:
-The introductory story of Abbadon done, but still lacking some sex scenes that use placeholders. 18k of text
-Redone the intro of the game and that Helena part, with 3.5k of text.
-New art! Although some of it its unavailable because the NPCs don't appear just yet, but everything has been posted in the patreon.
-A lot of code stuff that won't be that noticable but its important for the future.
-New combat! It aint that interesting, but its a good basis to start with.
The next public build will be done soon, I just need to code Alba and finish to write the placeholder that are left. Combat is still in its initial phase, so it may be severily broken and unbalanced, but I will polish it over time, your feedback is super useful in this regard too!
