  • For this upload, I finally figured out how to make these pages after experimenting with so many ways of making webcomics. What I've learnt from all this was “if it ain't broken, don't fix it”. So, I roughed out this page how I usually do, but afterwards I used the panel making tools for each drawing. Because the last time I used the panel making tools, I was using a 600DPI canvas, but this time I'm working with a 350DPI canvas, which means no lagging when working with panels.

  • When it came to making the comic, I primarily used 3D models and reused poses from pages I worked on before. I downloaded a table and chair combo assets because I needed a setting for the outside, plus, I needed objects for characters to interact with.

  • Here's the finished outlines for the top panels. After finishing off these poses, I added some background effects and textures for the top and bottom panels you see here. For the bottom panel, I copied the outlines for the buildings and blurred them in one direction, so I could turn them into screen tones to create the illusion of movement.

  • Lastly, for the bottom panel, I used a stock background I downloaded from the Clip Studio Assets store. This was the best asset I used so far because it has the perfect perspective I wanted for the webtoon layout, alongside the buildings outlines become thinner at a distance. Then I planned, roughed out, inked and coloured all the poses for this panel here. Before completing this page, I added all the sound effects and speech bubbles.
