We know that you really like this AU, and we're working hard trying to fill you up with more scenes from this story.

This particular scene takes place when Adora is still in the early stages of her transformation into Despara and still has her long hair, while Catra still has her characteristic gray puffs. The Horde has invaded the kingdoms of Plumeria and Salineas, forcing Perfuma and Mermista to seek refuge in Brightmoon.

Despite the circumstances, the Prom Princess dance is being celebrated. Princess Frosta, who is isolated in her kingdom and hasn't been attacked by the Horde yet, believes that this significant event will uplift the spirits of her neighboring kingdoms. Despara's mission is to acquire the next runestone, and to accomplish this, she takes advantage of the occasion to send Scorpia and Catra to retrieve it.

At the dance, Glimmer and Bow are present, but unlike in the original show, they attend as a couple. They keep a close watch on Scorpia and Catra, as they suspect that Scorpia has used her princess title for malicious purposes.

It's important to note that, at this point in the story, Catra has not yet become second in command. She has also not made any deals with Princess Glimmer yet.

Catra reluctantly accepts the mission, as she knows that every time Shadow Weaver obtains a runestone, Despara's influence over Adora increases.

Will Scorpia and Catra manage to fulfill their mission without being discovered by Glimmer and Bow?
