Remember girls that this is very heavy mystery story, so you won't get any easy answers. But after you have seen season 2 think back to this OVA and you will understand it much better =)

I really wish Crunchyroll would update this OVA to the version that has the first few black screens with the text voiced by a certain character in season 2. Just be on the lookout for a VERY similar looking scene to those in Season 2, if you haven’t already gotten to the point. It is pretty important to know exactly who is saying those things to Puck.

To help explain without spoilers: 1) Emilia came out/woke up after the whole Freezing of the forest happened, after waking up she met Puck. She either forgot their first meeting because her mind was not fully there when she had forgotten OR Puck locked away her memory of their first meeting for whatever reason. 2) There was supposed to be a certain character from S2 narrating at the start to give a hint of who Puck made an oath with but oh well 🤷‍♂️ You guys should look up those first few scenes with the narration. It is quite important to the story that you hear thay voice so you can recognize it in S2 3) Puck didnt lose all his memories. If Puck makes a contract with Emilia, he would lose some his memories from his past. Like when he was born and how he was born, stuff like that. 4) They use half-demon interchangeably with half-elf because The Witch brought so much destruction to the world that people viewed her as if she was a demon. 5) The scenes that Emilia was remembering but were blocked off and she couldnt see what they were, are the memories of her freezing the forest not of her meeting Puck for the first time. 6) (this one isnt rlly explaining anything just something I feel like might have some meaning). Puck is a beast of the end, meaning that Puck can cause the end of the world. In the bible we have the four horsemen of apocalypse. Is there 3 other beasts with equal power as Puck? 🤔🤔 If they are using the bible as reference for the beast of end thing.

That horse is 100% correct. That horse is the opposite of Puck. Puck is a beast born to destroy the world (we just got lucky he became friends with Emilia). That horse was born to keep the world balance and make sure it doesnt fall into destruction again (or even worse, end). There was once a witch who caused so much destruction and killed all of the other 7 witches. Imagine if you could sense the bloodline of people and you sense that a child who was just born, that has the same blood as that witch from many years ago. Of course your first thought should be that it will bring destruction. Right now we are clinging onto hope that Emilia does not turn out to be the same witch OR become just like the witch that caused so much destruction to the world. She has insane amount of magic power inside of her just like the witch Satella. The horse is right. We are wrong. We just hope that Emilia doesnt become the evil witch of the past, Satella, or a new evil witch herself.

nah the horse is a stick in the mud, deals in black and white. willing to kill and sacrifice anyone in the name of "justice". only siths deal in absolutes. saying it's sin to be alive and trying to kill them because of something they "might" do isn't justice.
